If I take your meaning right, I'm still "here", and probably will be for at LEAST three more months....
My local dealer is saying nobody stocks them, anything on a lot is either sold or an order someone backed out of. They're saying 6-8 weeks delivery, but could be as long as 6 months. They won't give anything firmer than that. Is that in line with what you current buyers are hearing? I hope not. That's a good way to lose a sale. I can't wait 6 months for a car.
Long waits for first-year of the next-gen is an expectation, especially when worldwide rollout happens all at the same time. Fortunately, it's well worth it.
See above. It's not worth it if I don't have a car to drive for six months! When the Gen 3s came out here in May 2009 my dealer had four in stock by July. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
You sound like a patient soul; if you have the means, I'd hunt down the Prime at the nearest dealer to you and make a fun trip out of it! The car is definitely worth the trouble! Good luck! .
My friend, you should change your name here to JOB-Bluz or something like that; you have enviable patience!! .
No. I was told 4 months give or take a couple weeks. 6-8 weeks sounds like they would attempt to get one wholesale from the east coast somehow at a higher cost. Actual real orders take way longer than 8 weeks to the Midwest.
I should add that I hope they were correct that it might also take 6-8 weeks for you, which would be great! Most buyers around here are waiting ~ 4 months though.
Hmmm... I'll give running for office some thought... that's to say, I'll consider it as long as long as the initiation process does NOT involve my being forced to drive "Lizzy McGuire"... the wife's fully loaded 2013 LaCrosse!
