I just purchased a 2017 Prius level 4 (with moonroof, not touring). I am looking at the camera in the rear view mirror housing and wondering if Toyota (or anyone) makes a plug and play system that can be connect to use the same camera? the recording unit could be mounted in the back or some other place, keeping the dash free from obstructions. Anyone know of such a thing?

I looked into this, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to get a video output from the existing forward recognition camera. See the previous discussion in this thread: Forward recognition camera as dashcam? | PriusChat
