    Hi all,

I was hit in the RF 2 months ago. The car ran fine when I moved to the side of the road. After fighting with insurance companies its finally getting fixed. The problem is, it won't turn on. The PS works but the electric or gas motor won't start. The body shop has no idea. Is it possible the hybrid battery has died?

    Any help is appreciated

Is the car going into "Ready" mode? Any dashboard lights coming on? Can the body shop read out any DTC for the Prius? If not have the car towed to a Toyota dealer and have them determine what's wrong. This should be on the insurance's dime to get your car back into operation. There is damage that hasn't been rectified; possibly caused by the accident or by the body shop.

Here's what we found. He pulled the 12v battery to charge it. When he reinstalled it there's apparently a step procedure in reconnecting it. He redid it and everything is fine.

    Thanks for all the help...
