Toyota reported a 20% drop in sales for the year today. That is on top of 30% last year. Sales not so good in USA. Maybe some cars will be discounted down the road. Some of you might have been smart to hold out.

Sounds like we are talking Prii here?
One answer to this is RAV4 increase taking some Prius sales.

yes, is this pro? hybrids? all toyota vehicles? u.s.? world wide? north america? is there a link?

jim's link: global sales increased by almost 300,000 units, up about .3%.

north america down almost 2,000 units, less than 1%.

if we're talking prius, i think we're all aware. hybrids? i'm not sure where they are at.

I posted post 2, it does not say anything similar to your original post.

Bloomberg - Toyota operating profit to fall 20%.

    Interesting quote:

Toyota could look to cut back on spending more on conventional cars and instead focus on hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles, according to Edwin Merner, president of Atlantis Investment Research Corp., which owns the automaker’s stock. “If you don’t have these things, then you could end up being at a very big disadvantage,” he said.
