Car door curb rash

If you love your car, I suggest you take to a professional. If you love your car, but you are a DIYer, then I would clean the section as much as possible, put Toyota touch up paint and clear coated, fully dry and with 2000 grit sand paper and polish blend it.

 

Curbs need to be outlawed or Toyota tech could warn you when one was near.

 

Get the touch up pen, it's matching colour. That's the easiest and least visible place to touch up. Just prep with something like isopropyl alcohol. I've found the clear coat lifts the paint, so I don't use it, just the colour coat.

A new touch up pen will flow well, and just naturally flows to that bottom edge. Do one coat, wait an hour, do a second coat: done.

 

I would personally do what Steve Lee suggested.

I feel your pain... 1800 miles in 6 weeks and someone opened their f150 door into my drivers rear door. Two dents, including one on the crease line. It's all I can see when I look at the car or out the side view mirror. And the guy denied it even though he was the only vehicle next to me in the 15 minutes I was parked there and his truck was silver and paint transfer on my car was silver. Took to Dent Wizard.. assuming there is no steel inside the door to prevent them from getting to the area they should be able to massage the dents back out. Quick $200 but at least I will not have to stare at it.. Hopefully they will be successful!

 

Wow, that dent must have been a trauma to your system. I park far away in different location where takes approximately1-2 minutes walk to final destination, yet some one (1) parks right next to me all the time when I get back to the car.

 

It's a no win situation. I parked way out back in the Kroger parking lot where very few cars parked and got my passenger side rear backup light smashed by a shopping cart ( musta been windy that day) So now I park close to the front of the parking lot next to other cars in the hope a stray shopping cart hits their car first.
