Apparently so for NYS. I didn't fill any form. Just provided driver's license, add insurance, sign in a few places and paid for the car plus tax, tags, other fees, less the NYS & Toyota rebates. Is this different from other states?

I just closed on a Prius Prime Advanced with paint protection and all weather mats and a few other things. Dealer is 802Toyota in Berlin, VT. I worked with Corey Morine (802) 224-7238. Very low key sales pitch, pleasant.

    MSRP: $34733

Discounted by $1050 (ask for the "e-price") to Selling Price: $33679
    Less Toyota Rebate: $2500
    Plus Documentation Fee: $198

    Total Due: $31377

I have to pay $1300 to ship it to NM and I have to pay NM taxes and registration fees on top of that, so maybe another $2500 to bring the actual total to $34,000. But then I get a $4500 tax credit, so the total cost is less than $30K.

The alternatives were waiting 6 weeks+ to pay MSRP in Albuquerque, NM or paying $2000 over MSRP for the same model in Salt Lake City, but i would still have to ship.

Ira Toyota of Danvers near Boston will give you a dealers discount of $1400. Its also $300 cheaper to ship from the Boston area, but they were trying to sell me car with the wrong specifications. A little annoying. If they have the car you want, that could be a slightly better deal. The key is getting the car you want, but there is a lot of supply.

Thank you all for this thread. I saved quite a bit and got the car I wanted...

Options, accessories, and certain color affects the price. I didn't read your previous posts but do you know if you are comparing the exact same trim / color / accessory?

    Prius_111_2,
if you really want to compare similar vehicle as for "eluo" Berlin City Toyota in Portland Maine for Prime Premium Blizzard Pearl MSRP = $30,484, ePrice discount: $2,439, price after discount: $28,045 ask if TM 2500 cash back is included or not. Call dealership and ask Prime Plus for availability (currently in their website does not state Prime Plus) and pricing that are willing to sell.

Guys, For Prime Advanced, I am getting the price of $33,298 in NJ. This price includes freight and destination charge but not taxes, tags, title and registration fees nor the $99 processing fee. I have not asked Toyota motor discount of $2500. Now if they offer the discount of Toyota motor, then the price of Prime Advance will be $30798

    Color:Blizzard/Ash
    Price: 33298
    Toyota Discount: $2500
    Processing Fee: $99
    Final Price: $30897

Without the Taxes, Tags, Titles and Registration Fees, is the above price good.

That is for the Premium I believe. That is the range I paid for the Premium in NJ. The Advanced is 3k-4k higher.

I just remember that Toyota of Danvers has a 500 doc fee vs the 200 doc fee that 802Toyota in VT offered so their deals were about the same. The difference is in the shipping.

In sum, you should be able to a $1000 to $1400 dealer discount off the MSRP in the northeast market PLUS the $2500 Toyota rebate, but watch the fees. The MSRP is what it is. It depends on the options the car has.

Unless you are ordering a bare car, the MSRP is a bit pointless without knowing the factory options that comes with the car. Most dealer stocked cars are not bare and factory options can add hundreds to thousands to the price. I used Build and Price feature of edmunds.com to price out the car with options to find the Invoice and MSRP. There are other website too (costcoauto.com). Once you have the Invoice and MSRP, including the factory options, you can start your negotiation. Remember to ask if the price given is before or after any Toyota or State rebate and Destination Fee. Also ask if there are document or advertisement fee. When you are ready to buy, dealers will asked about extended warranty. Just say no. If you really want it, you can shop around for extended warranty. No rush to get it right away.

Below shows the pricing of options available for the Advanced

Thanks, I looked back and found only Edmunds price valuation of around $29k.

What should I be asking the dealers to be a part of the deal, when buying Prius Prime Advanced.

Some are saying Wheel Locks and Spare Tire should be part of the deal. What else, dealers throw in, which I should be asking to be included as a part of the final deal.

Also, I am 100% sure, if I should buy Prius Prime Plus or Prius Prime Advanced. Any advice based on your experiences will be very helpful.

Just used Edmonds.com and here is for Prime Advanced. The price $33,590 is no where close of $29638 (which was referred above). If we deduct $2500 from $33,452, then it still comes to $31090. What do you guys think, if this can be further negotiated.

Just to throwing another idea out there to get a good price... Go through the Costco auto buying program. I when through this program and I was able to buy my Prime at invoice without haggle (not sure if invoice pricing from Costco for Prime is regional or national). I did paid a bit more than invoice because of the Toyota regional advertisement fee. If you don't have a Costco membership, get one. Money back guaranty within the year for the membership fee.

You can do any evaluation using any information you are willing to use To substantiate your vehicle purchase. In real life prices for prime advaced there is "eguigal" price and my purchase price which is very similar to "eguigal"
