If I understand you correctly, when you hit 'Auto' the fan and the A/C are both on.
Now, if you then press the A/C button, does it not shut-off A/C leaving only the fan on?
If yes, then you can compare estimate drop with and without A/C compressor (with the PiP there is no change, both gives a drop of about 10-12%). That is IMO what @bisco was stating.

yes. auto doesn't come on with the fan, unless you have been using it and don't shut it off. at least on pip. still can't speak for prime.

Here's the pic's of Climate one with A/C on (notice the thin vertical blue line) and with it off ( no thin blue vertical line) As you can see the fan shown in the third pic shows electrons going from the battery to the fan in both cases. I tried to take a picture of the HUD but it was too dim to show up on my phone's camera with Auto off EV range was 15.9 miles, with Auto on (both with A/C on and off show the same 14.7 miles EV)

A "heat pump" and and "air conditioner" are the same piece of equipment. Take an "air conditioner", add valves so that the compressed, hot refrigerant liquid is directed to the coil in the cabin and the cold low-pressure refrigerant gas is directed to the coil under the hood, and you have a "heat pump". Just changing the direction that heat is being pumped.

so does that mean you only get warm or cool, no fresh air if you want it?

In another thread someone suggested setting temperature to Lo (below 55F?) and disabling A/C. I've tried this and it seems to do the trick, I advise disabling auto fan if you do this too.

It's a lot of taps on the screen to do this and doing this also throws a wrench in premium based cabin pre-conditioning. Wish there was a single tap to enable outside air temperature intake mode.

how do you disable auto fan? other than selecting off, which kinda defeats the purpose of having the fan blow outside air in the cabin

manually adjust the fan speed, that'll kick the fan speed out of AUTO mode.
