How would you describe the Titanium Glow color?

I haven't seen one in person yet but I've seen lots of pictures online and am having a hard time deciding if I like it or not. I found one in the Premium model that I want for a good price but I'm unsure of the color. I will probably end up driving out to take a look but it's a pretty far drive so I wanted to get some input here first. So how would you describe the color? To me it looks almost beige at times and I don't think I'd like a beige car, but then other times it looks silver or even whitish. Looking for some real world input.

    Thanks guys!

I wondered the same thing. Until you see it in person it is hard to tell how much you would like it or not. I bet it is glowing.

It became my favorite color, and I got it.
The color is chameleon-like, a pinkish champagne color. It does change very subtly under different lighting. I sold new Vanden Plas Jaguars back in 1987, and they had colors like this with subtle metallic glow. Cooler in summer, nice metallic finish, and still not too common, no extra cost. I got the black softex which continues the subtle class of the car to the interior.

I ordered the Titanium - albeit without the 'subtle class' of the black interior. :)

I wanted a light colored car, but white cost extra and silver is too common (cars in general, not specifically Prii). The Prime I test drove was a Titanium, and I liked it. OK, it's not flashy. I'd describe it as a creamy, slightly metallic color. Definitely not as silvery as I expected, but also not goldish. I know, that doesn't make sense. But I found it very pleasing to the eye.

For some reason I knew someone would post my history. Bottom line is myob. You don't know anything about me or my situation or my family size or how many cars we need or why I do what I do. It's my money and life after all. It's odd that you follow my moves over the years. How bout you list every purchase you've made in the past 5 years so I can critique?

Pasaman, I agonized over that color just like you are now:cautious:.
I looked at so many images and felt that each picture, depending on the lighting, was showing me a completely different car:eek:.
I felt that it looked a bit pinkish in some lighting situations and a perfect dullish beige in others (which is what I wanted it to look like all the time).

In the end, I thought about the car itself, the Prime, the high tech machine it is, and went with another color altogether, the Mag blue:cool:.
This color too looks remarkably different in different lighting situations but it, in my humble opinion, and for my own taste, shows the character of the car a bit more. I was also able to accommodate the interior moonstone with the blue outside which gives it a nice contrast.

The TiGlow is a subtle and very elegant color and probably much less maintenance sensitive(y). I just felt that it was perhaps more suited to a larger, luxury sedan so I eventually decided against it. It has the added advantage that not too many TiGlow will be seen in the wild.

In South Texas, I do not need to worry about seeing too many mag blues coming and going, to bother me, or any other color for that matter.

It is surprising how the choice of color can be the most difficult :unsure:part of purchasing a car...and perhaps the most fun as well;).

Let us know what you finally decide upon.:D

Man, that must be some color to get that kind of description.

Maybe Toyota should go back to a "tie dye color" for us more mature Prii drivers.

I haven't seen it in real life (I don't even know if it'll be offered in Canada. We have zero details other than we'll get two models). But from what I gather from photos and people's description, it's similar to two other colours you may have seen in real life in SoCal:

    Range Rover in "Aruba Metallic"

    BMW X3 in Mineral Silver.

Basically it's like a modern interpretation of Champagne that was popular in the mid 90s. It's more silvery and metallic than the goldish colours of the 90s.

This photo matches @HPrimeAdvanced 's description of pinkish champagne

I got the blue mag also. And I would just like to add this: if you are on any kind of road where there is dust or dirt avoid it like the plaque. Go with the t glow or silver for certain. Not only is it impossible to keep the back of the car clean, but the dust gets into the door Jambs as well. I wash this car at least once and usually twice a week and it's still dirty. I know I'm not the only one who has noticed this.

I'd describe it as the color of sand.

I never had (close to) this issue with my magnetic gray generation 2 Prius (or either of the two I drove while renting).

Sorry, but this car and, in particular, this color is horrid for road grime and dust from unpaved roads.

Does this mean I would have chosen a different color during purchase? No. It just forces me to take better care of it.

Car was washed the day before yesterday (including inside the door jambs). Last night it rained as hard as it has most of this winter and there us still dirt one the exposed rear step at the hatch. 1491673123911.jpg 1491673132677.jpg 1491673139218.jpg 1491673143515.jpg

No it wasn't as bad (We had Tideland Pearl so it was a darker colour and the grey-green helped hide the dirt).

I do notice it with my Gen 3 in Blue Ribbon Metallic. I suspect their aerodynamic design for Gen 3/4 accentuate the problem over the Gen 2 (and its rounder rear bumpers).
