yes, that's about the going rate out here. incredible deals, better than lift back in many cases.

I forgot, that was for an advanced, too! :( makes me want DRCC. Oh well, can always get a salvage car for half that, hit in rear, and transfer every part lol.

Can't believe you guys get hosed so bad on the east coast on resale for these things. Good for buyers though. Here I could still get at least 16k for my 2013 with 38k miles if I sold privately, since dealers are selling similar for 18,000+.

nice. on the plus side, people here were buying the base for 22k, if they waited for the right time.

prime is the same way, you could probably buy a carrier, and buy them out here, drive them to cali to resell, and make a good living. like what kramer and newman did with the deposit bottles.

In Cali it's going to be interesting to see what the current Legislative session does about free HOV.

One scenario (Plug-in America is asking for) is to extend free HOV, but they want the older PiP to be kicked out as of 1/1/2019 existing deadline. So that could take some of the re-sale shine off of CA PiPs

Don't forget PiP is still "HOV gold" in CA, but it's gravy days may be numbered.

Never finance a depreciating item. Better to pay cash for something that you can afford. Instead of buying a new car, I waited for 18 months and paid half the new price for an almost new PiP. Saved in so many ways...50% less cost, lower taxes, no interest, lower insurance. Yeah, I missed out on the "rebate", but still made out.

We must think alike. We have the same vehicle and I just got mine 4 months ago.

That is a great deal! My sister did a Leaf lease at $119 a month but she doesn't get the rebates. Her residual was some $19k a few months ago. Nissan gave her a $3000 rebate to purchase but at $16k for 2013 S was outrageous. Even then, low mileage 2013 Leaf S were going for under $10k. They're in the $6-$8k range now. It really sucks how she brags to me with her low lease rate and my ridiculous $547 PiP finance. But, unfortunately, I drive 30,000 miles a year which is about how many miles she had on her Leaf when it was returned.

Specially here in northern Virginia where we have a hefty local car tax each year, lightly used PiP is certainly attractive.

I just purchased a 2014 Plug in, 30K miles, $12,600 - it was a one owner, carfax clean car. The only down side the previous owner didn't include the cable.

So far I'm enjoying it after driving a 12 Prius C - which was totally trouble free - the Plug in is so much quieter and smoother.

Congratulations! I love mine. Sounds like a great deal except for the charging cable. Maybe you can find a used Leaf EVSE. They tend to be lower in price from what I hear.

I didn't plan on buying a plug in, but when shopping my area, there was no price difference buying the plug in over the std Prius.

Found a good deal on a used charging cable right here on the forum.

Those who have yet to buy may find virtually no difference in price on a base PiP from one seller and an advanced PiP from another

What's your location? That's a great deal. Here that car would cost 19k.

Here in Fl it would. I got a 2013 Advanced with 34k on it for $18,000. It was a good price. I searched pretty far from where I live and that's what they sell for. Only place that had really low prices was California. If I went through carmax it was $1000 to ship it here.
