Thanks for the side-by-side comparison John. She's a beut! What's his/her name? Looking forward to meeting her in person.
Those are the teaser photos. The hope is to get a chance to go down to the new park with both of them. It's beautiful new land in a prairie area, complete with charging stations. That will be my wife's first solo flight with the Prime. 2 plug-ins. 2 drivers. I'll get her feeling the need right away.
Since way back on Nov. 30, 2008 I was the person who first suggested the name "Prius Prime", it would seem appropriate for mine in particular to be the one simply referred to as "Prime".

Road Trip! 163 miles 69 MPG It was a great experience, lots of opportunity to try out a number of features. Photos on the way.
There was a wide variety of speeds and hill climbing. We drove to the river valley to see Bald Eagles. EV acceleration onto the highway was sweet. 65 mph, no problem. I couldn't resist dropping the pedal to the floor while cruising too. Shot up to 75 mph to pass someone... all with only electricity.
42 MPG 39 degrees weather fighting against the wind 730 mile trip from Lincoln Ne to Detroit MI...going posted speed limits...driving with Eco mode preserving battery for entire trip..battery was on 73% at beginning and 77 at the end... Full charge battery will run heat on eco standing still for 9.5 hours before will engage engine this was in EV auto mode not for me but my was not allowed in Hotel...so far I'm still impressed with MPG...against mu BMW M 760 Posted via the PriusChat mobile app. Going back to Lincoln with little better weather still cold 39-40 and experiment with 93 octane fuel and 91 .... 91 have better MPG than 93 or 87.... I use 100% fuel no ethanol So I'm staying on 91 From Detroit to border of Illinois and Iowa i was 65 MPG...from IA to Lincoln NE a lot of up and downs trough IA have 54.7 MPG all hand calculated....going always posted speed limits heat on and Eco mode to preserve battery Engine heat was for entire trip 190-195 degrees.... And many more data that i was recorded for engine parameters will be reported in Mr. Bob Wilson thread when i have chance This low MPG was result of bad weather and different O2 sensor used for data record using different types of fuel mentioned above....my car finally settled with 91 octane as best overall fuel trim % O2 data and crank shaft timing
I will probably next time I'm around....i like to meet with any Prius owner..this my first Japanese hybrid i have owned and so far this car is a keeper Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.

My car arrived in Fort Collins Colorado today. Will try tomorrow to arrange delivery sometime this week.
Mine is due in port on 19 April. Thinking I'll be cruising around in my new Prime the first week of May, with luck.
I bought mine there too Got the new Toyota credit on April 5th of $2500 plus a $1098 Costco discount Had to call Costco first Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Congratulations on your new Prius Prime, John1701a. It's the best colour I've seen on a Prime so far. By the way, your website was equally instrumental in my decision to purchase a 2008 Gen 2 Prius Tspirit (UK), back in June 2013. The easily accessible information on there was, still IS invaluable! And it was a great help afterwards too! I'm still piloting my Gen II (a.k.a. "The Spaceship") 36 miles round trip a day on my commute. Thanks, John! iPhone ?
Mine was 1,200 miles @55.7 MPG following high-balling trucks on I-85. The last time I checked, the odometer was showing ~3.5k miles @76 MPG. For what it is worth, BMW i3-REx, 150 mi range / 2 gallon fuel tank, @75 MPG, running 65-70 mph with one charge. Thereafter, 65 mph @40 MPG. But around town, pure EV. Bob Wilson
