Okay, I have a weird problem that has not been mentioned here. I used my iphone 6s for the first time today in the car. I tried to call out but the call didn't go through at all. I even tried to call using my phone instead of through the car...no go. I then stopped and turned the car off and my phone still didn't work. Before I made the call going out, I did receive a call and had no problem. After I tried to do it through the car, I was unable to even make or receive a call to my phone, even when I was no longer in the car. Once I dialed a call manually instead of just pushing a button, it straightened out. Does anybody have a solution to this?

Still having dialog with Apple and Toyota on this issue. Apple's iOS 10.3 beta 7 still does not solve the issue. Looks like 10.3 is about to ship, so I continue to push hard.

I recommend you contact Toyota on this. Consistent problem.

No, sorry but given that all the problems are with iPhones only I am not convinced that this is a Toyota problem.

I think that Apple does NOT like taking to the outside world, they want the while tech world too be Apple. I have numerous times tried to Bluetooth connect from various people.s iPhones and always had problems in that it wouldn't connect. Every other device talks fine, but not iphones or in fact uP add either. Just my experience.

Bluetooth is old tech but the standards and capabilities are developing walk the time and new devices implement new versions of the protocol.

Re Siri, tangentially, I paired my Android phone with a Prime in a test drive at the weekend, and it worked fine but praying the voice button on the steering wheel did not wake up Google. But if I said Ok Google to the phone- the phone heard that and the Car also recognised it and confirmed on the screen that I had issued a voice command to the phone.

Just at a quick glance, those symptoms seem more likely to be phone-related than Prius-related.

Use a new Anker line it will help. I had many connection issues. It's very finicky with the wires. Also I have the iPhone 6 Plus.

When I picked up my Prime the dealer tried to connect my phone with the Prime. Did not work. I have tried at home and still cannot connect. Not a big deal for me but it would be nice to have. I have a Samsung Galaxy 4. Maybe I need to get a newer model.

Thanks everybody for the reply. It turned out to be a problem with AT&T. There was a glitch in their system. All is fine now. Thanks again.

On my Prime Premium. After turning the car on, I found if you use Siri by holding the steering wheel talk key then Siri works fine, but the phone calls using touch screen of car doesn't work. After powering car off then back on (don't use Siri wheel talk key), the calls can be made or received using cars phone app. Pretty much whichever you use first after power on the car is what works, the other will not.

It seems that Apple pretty much does not bother to strictly comply with public standards; their policy is that what they do IS the standard, so comply with the way they do it, or take a hike.

You have to use the Toyota system to make the calls. You cannot use the mobile assistant - it doesn't work with iPhone.

The issue I have is Entunes failure to disconnect Bluetooth telephone conversations when the car shuts down. I have a Galaxy 5 Note. It takes 17 seconds before it disconnects. By comparison with my previous vehicle, Bluetooth disconnected immediately the car door was opened after the car was shut down.

If you have android does it not have a Bluetooth button on the call screen, along with the speaker selection button. My LG G4 does. I can switch from Bluetooth any time I like during a call.

Unfortunately this still didn't help me. I updated iOS today and tried everything I have read to try. Very frustrating. Hope it gets a fix soon.

Bluetooth tends to be implemented in firmware in the Bluetooth chip rather than software, so although I wouldn't rule out the possibility of this being improved by updates to IOS or Entune, I would think that this is unlikely.

The manual says "If an iPhone is connected via Bluetooth and USB at the same time, system operation may become unstable."

A lot of us are having the same problem. I have an iphone 6s. I can get calls, but making calls only happens sporadically. Same with accessing Siri. Someone suggested I take it to the dealer, but reading those posts makes me realize that will be a waste of time. Can anyone who discovers a fix please be sure to post it on this thread? And thanks Mark, I'll try your text suggestion.

Just an update. I have had a couple times that it has happened in the last month or so, but nothing as bad as it was before. I have been able to work around it by shutting down extra apps that might be using the microphone like Waze. Still not perfect, but at least now it is once every few weeks instead of every day.
