We are also suppose to go out and club our food to death but grocery stories popped up and what were you going to do?

Bisco, she might not have wanted to cook on electric but how does she like riding on it?

Electric induction hobs are far superior to any other including gas. We used one at a couple of different holiday lets and they are almost unbelievably good.

They are also a lot cheaper to run than other Electric hobs.

    Try it.

You can't tell from looking at it. The standard ceramic hob just uses resistive heating or halogen radiant.

Induction Hobbs magnetically induce the heat into the bottom of the pan. Control response is instant, no delay at all.

Won't work with non ferrous pans though.

Right. I didn't even think about induction when I was writing earlier. I did look into that a couple years ago, but the price of admission kind of spooked me since I didn't NEED to replace the stove. We stayed in a place that had an induction hotplate. They had a special pan made for induction cooking. Really liked it. If our stove dies, I'll probably go that way rather than spend the money on getting propane installed. Thanks for bringing that up.

i would have to look at the manual, but it probably isn't. we've been very happy with it for 9 years so far.
