My Toyota charge point will expire on early April and I still have $95. I think most likely I'm not going to finish. Suck.. :-( iPhone ?
You know the left over food in the mail room after a meeting doesn't last long either. The one I'm happiest about is NOT getting suckered into satellite radio, again. The only thing that worked was payment. Their customer support was 'user hostile' and the programming . . . brain-dead. Then there is "Clear Channel" . . . truly evil . . . that has killed FM and AM. Once upon a time, I could drive long distances and hunt out local stations with innovative, often local flavor programming. Then "Clear Channel" started programming the exact same tunes and radio-heads on multiple stations in overlapping areas. If I tune away from some sort of 'bubble gum' grunt, I don't want to find the same brain-dead programming three stations away. Now I use internet radio and podcasts. The broadcast monopoly is dead and I won't pay for monotony. Bob Wilson
If a charger were ever to appear somewhere I might use it, couldn't I get a card at that time? Or do you have to pay for that?
If you don't have the keycard, you can also use your phone with the Charge Point app. Works great on my S7.
I have found chargepoint stations that are marked "Decommissioned" whose cables are locked in place. The station does not appear on the ChargePoint app, but does in PlugShare unsurprisingly. But the charger still works, and is free, but requires a card to release the cables. The decommissioned station still authorizes the card though so...take that fwiw.
Good to know. Still $100 on my card as well. It is great that we can pretty much get a full charge within 2 hours anyways, and all of the chargers here offer first two hours free.
Just charged it up at Sausalito. 1st hour free and $5/hour after. Didn't have time to unplug it. Final number: $18. Not bad for the $100 balance.
It truly is a shame Bob, there is only 1 locally owned radio station left in here. Clear channel and a few other just as Wonder companies own them all now. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I got a free charge but even better a parking place with it twice. Not earth shaking good but something. If I remember I need to give them my credit card number if I want to keep the card active. Might be $20 hold on it or something.
One quick tip. If a place charges after the first hour, you can always unplug before the first hour ends and the timer will start again.
My free $100 with Chargepoint expires in a few days but I read on their email notification that my card will still after work after expiration at free Chargepoint stations. No credit card or deposit needed like the other charging companies.
any one wanting to sell a card with a bit 0' time & $$$ left on it ... I'll gladly pay you 20ยข on the dollar. Not that we need it w/ multiple free chargers around ... but with a Tesla - we could probably/easily finish of the balance off in 1 easy sitting, Plus you won't feel the value went to a total waste! just a thought . . . .
