Wow, congrats to you both!! Looking forward to hearing from the proud Papas when they arrive. My support group is going to get lonelier. .
Placed my order 11-7-16. But not sure when the dealership got off their rear ends. Was originally told it would be the 1st of Jan.
I'm not getting out of the group any time soon. And this is a car dealership...so anything can and probably will happen. A radio active whale could sink the boat. Godzilla could return.
I took delivery today of my Red/Moonstone Prime Advanced today. Ran some errands this afternoon, and did about an hour of necessary driving tonight. Battery ran out of charge but I will charge in time to leave tomorrow. I tried to get it to automatically park in a two different parking lots today without success. I think is because there was so much salt on the pavement, that the cameras couldn't make out the parking spot lines.
Congrats on your new Prime. The parking assist does not work with painted lines, only parked cars. It uses sonar sensors to detect the cars you wish to park between. The Lane Departure Warning uses a camera in front of your rearview mirror to detect lane marker lines.
Aha! So much for doing a "safe" first test. Boy it was GREAT getting into a warm car this morning (in the teens here)!
Ruby - Did you get your Prime in Flemington? I live across the river in PA and I bought mine there and they seem to be one of the few dealers to have any. Congratulations!
No, at Crestmont in northern Jersey. Lots of dealers in my area seem to have a couple on the lot. I had to wait about a month for my red one, but I've been happy with this dealership's service department for over 10 years so I wanted to give them the purchase business.
Picked up my Prime Premium (blue/moonstone) at Kenny Ross Toyota in Pittsburgh yesterday. Though I had to wait two months, they were very helpful and didn't push anything I didn't want. I've put about 60 miles on it so far, and it's been a smooth ride. Haven't even used the normal hybrid mode yet, except for a couple miles. Only thing I really wish I had from the Advanced is the JBL sound system. The base speakers are fine, but it would be nice to be surrounded by sound (with a fuller tone) instead of it just coming from the front. Nav/infotainment system works fine, though it is a bit clunky and I wish it supported CarPlay. DRCC is awesome. That and the fuel economy (+reliability) make this purchase worth it for me. They have the default setting of the audio shifted towards the front. Do yourself a favor and adjust it a few clicks towards the rear, it makes a huge difference and gives a more balanced sound instead of just at your face.
Actually, I still don't really hear anything from the back, just less from the front. I'm going to sit in the back to be sure, but I'm wondering if there is a problem with the rear speakers in my car.
Tried that out today, setting it a few clicks toward the back. Definitely helped with fullness of sound. The other complaint still stands - the sound is tinny, though adjusting the EQ did help a bit.
Good to hear. Yeah the tinniness is the result of cheap factory speakers. Not much of a fix for that (other than slight eq tweaks like you did), it bugs me too but I wasn't willing to pay 4K more for slightly better speakers so I just roll with it.
I got notified today (2/24/17) that Colorado finally has received its first allocation, and my car is in it. Apparently, it's already built and being put on a ship next week for delivery in 4-6 weeks, putting it end of March to beginning of April. I have a VIN number, but it might not be "real".
Picked mine up at North Hollywood Toyota from Mercedes and Cary last Saturday. Great people to work with if you are in the market for one.
