It's interesting you calculated a savings from a regular Prius. For me, it's costed more for a PiP or break even at best. With high electricity rates in CA, our break even is when gas prices exceed $2.50 a gallon. Gasoline costs less at the moment.

So the hv miles I calculated should be renamed to just ICE Miles because it's only when the ICE is on. You guys are right. The pip only calculates on the mode you are in. Still not entirely useful because I gamed the system in getting 19 miles ev by babying ev mode while pushing hv. When I did that I seemed to have yielded better mpg overall but obviously worse hv mode mpg.

I have solar, so I took into account taking advantage of that fact. Summers I drove 15 miles or so for free

Nice post, I drive mostly EV and have not tanked up yet. Made it home today with .1 miles left. Bought car on 17 Dec so don't want to fill up til 17 Feb. The car is exceptionally "Sparsamm" economical in German. I have my mpg as 199.9 mpg all the time (mpge) My hybrid is over 171 mpg. I don't ever expect the Hybrid mpg to get to even 100 mpg, but we shall see. A pleasant drive.

Let's see 2000 miles / 7 pips = ~ 300 mpg, no possible Senor. Your lumping your hybrid and your EV together
No Can Do, Dami, dami. Now on the Prime this is done on the dashboard for you, I do agree that the higher figure 199.9 should spell out MPGe. As the 171 mpg that is also represented should specify HV mileage.
The fun part is when a interested party ask me about mileage and I just blithely mention, " Oh, about 200 miles per gallon " But, I can prove it now, it's on my Instrument panel. The important thing of course is how many miles between tanks, and Bisco, your figures are impressive.

By extremely judicious use of NEUTRAL I rolled into my garage with .1 miles left this afternoon.

Another interesting improvement on the Prime is the seat heater, it's seat and back heater on 1,2,3 or4 seats.
Drivers option, no more complaining about how cold she is.

Going thru settings that's what popped up and the heater now heats the seat and the back. Pretty comfortable with no HVAC on, actually low fan and eco-heat.

Remember I'm in California, temps of 0-30 are almost non-existent.

I am confused here, are you speaking about seats heater or cabin warming?
What are these 1,2,3 or 4 seats setting doing?

That's alright I'm confused too, the screen said seat heaters and showed diagrams, unfortunately the screen(s) also disappear suddenly. I'm guessing now, perhaps I found it in setting and/ temperature control.
I also wouldn't mind a little affirmation also, to assure my sanity. Cheers

The seat heaters always had the seat back. My Gen 3 goes up to near the top of the seats.

I did find it again, took a picture but for some reason, didn't come out. The option presented shows 4 seat heaters, one can choose all 4 or just driver position. My wife and I are convinced the seat and the back both heat up.

Not sure I'm understanding what your saying!
Sorry but my Pip, 2012 only the seat heated, not the back.
