One of the reasons why I use the imprecise terms like "math trick" is as bait for our less sophisticated readers. It re-enforces their fantasies I won't get bogged down with trying to educating the willfully ignorant.

Bates made a poor choice and now he has to 'claw it back' from those who choose to believe something else by taking things out of context. It almost suggests sharing some conversations can lead to more time and bother than warranted. But I realize it is not the original conversation as much as the willfully ignorant living in a fantasy land of their own making.

Guess I've been more interested in the data than personalities. Polar ice remains interesting.

Talking about cold air, looks like the USA NorthEast is getting a big dose with moisture ... blizzard conditions.

In Dixie, we're in the middle of a cold air, high pressure center. In a day or so, it'll be warm again but I think some it is pushing moisture to the NorthEast.
