I tried looking all over to adjust the audio (treble and bass) settings under fm source and could not find it. Anyone any ideas? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Seems to be a bug. This gui is so inferior to other car manufacturers. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
If you are in full map mode on your display, tap the lower right where you are displaying your FM station info (or AM or Sat). Then choose the Sound button which will bring up Balance and and Treble/Bass settings.
On the FM Audio Source Screen, the "Sound" button is in the lower right corner of the screen, just below "Presets" button. If that lower right corner shows the "TYPE SEEK" instead of "Sound", press the "Back" button in the lower left corner, now the "Sound" button will be available.
Did you ever find the sound controls for FM? I have a 2017 Advanced Prime and I too can't find the controls. Warren
Old thread but since I have the same issue, I didn't see a reason to start a new one. I was surprised that while my 2004 Prius had the ability to adjust the sound both fading the speakers and treble/mid/bass sliders, my 2018 Prime Advanced does not. Then I was messing with the sources and I see that the "Sound" button exists for satellite but NOT for FM. WTH??? I might try the XM while it is free but won't pay for it after the trial period. I only listen to FM radio. WHY can I not adjust the sound settings? There is NO volume in the rear speakers, it is all coming from the front of the dash. That really is unacceptable, at worst it should be equal volume on all speakers. NEVERMIND!!!!!! I re-read @34Hupp's response. I didn't have a Scan button when I was using the radio last week, only the ability to Tune one station at a time (which was a pain given I was out of my area and didn't have a specific station I was trying to find). And no Sound button. But when I had changed source to Sat the other day and saw the Sound button then back to FM, it was on the Options screen. And it was on the Options screen when I went out just now to check. MAYBE it goes back to whatever screen it was on for a given Source when you switch between sources. I went out to the car saw and hit the Back button and voila there was a Sound button and where the Back button had been there was an Options button. And there is a Scan button. Don't know why it was on the Options screen. Default or something I did early on (being relative since I've not had the car even one month yet) without realizing it.
