I'm not sure you can even trust cars.com. Some within 500 miles of me have Primes listed but when you check they don't.

I don't think they even had any to sell. They instead try to sell you something else.

25.150 EUR is a sales price. The MSRP/RRP is 28.150 EUR for the base Prius in Germany

€1.500 plus €1,500 Toyota incentive right off the bat (like the US) for a total of €3,000 off.

Just bought a Blizzard White Advanced in Massachusetts. The car came with Special Color ($395), Body Side Moldings ($209), Cargo Cross Bars ($299), and Carpet Floor Mats/Cargo Mat ($224), bringing the total MSRP with $865 Delivery to $35,092. Although I didn't want all of those options, there were very few Prime Advanced models available in the region and I wanted to get delivery before expiration of the current Toyota incentives and the federal tax credit ($4500) and state rebate ($2500).

In total, I got a $1500 discount on top of Toyota's $1000 Cash Back, together with a $950 trade for a 2005 Prius in rough shape with 180,000 miles. In addition, my credit union was still offering a 1.99 percent interest rate for 24-63 months.

So, the bottom line was $9450 off MSRP with a 1.99 percent interest rate. I think it was a great deal.

On Christmas eve, I bought a Magnetic Gray Metallic Advanced with black interior. (Wife's choice of color, she says the grill blends in better). The car came with only two dealer installed options; (2T) All weather floor liners/cargo tray for $248 and (WL) Alloy wheel locks for $65. The delivery processing and handling fee was $865. Doc fees in Maryland are capped at $300 by law. I did get the $1000 rebate that ends Jan 3 and negotiated an additional price reduction of $779, so the total bill was $32,823 (sticker was $34,278). I am not counting the fed tax credit or my state tax and tags. My state (NC) has no additional incentives. We will probably sell her 2010 Prius that now has 140,000 miles, (the solar sunroof is something she says she will miss) and keep the 2012 Prius Plug-In for my use.

    An interesting concept, 'savings'.

    • 12/20/2016 | $29.4k - $4.5k (tax credit) | Decatur Toyota web site shows one Prius Prime. I take a test drive but there is no EV operation. Sent notes asking for another test drive after charging over night.
    • 12/21/2016 | $36k - $4.5k (tax credit) | Sales lady calls,'We sold that one yesterday. I can get another for $36 k.' My answer, 'Thanks, I'll keep looking.' Decatur is ~35 miles away and the in-town Toyota dealer had said 'We'll have one after January.' Found Rhode Island Prius for $28.5k, the same as no longer available Prius Prime, the initial Decatur offer or $7.5k less than the last Decatur offer. Put a $500 deposit on RI Prius Prime while we work the details.
    • 12/22/2016 | $28.4k - $4.5k (tax credit) | Worked with finance officer and bank to strike the deal. Paperwork sent RI for 'next day', (the day before Christmas weekend!) Meanwhile, had gotten approval for $25k bank loan at 2.5%. Taking the Toyota 0.9% loan made most sense with savings and small bridge loan from bank.
    • 12/27/2016 | $28.4k - $4.5k (tax credit) | Package arrived after banks closed, Tuesday night. Made airline reservation, $99.
    • 12/28/2016 | $28.4k - $4.5k (tax credit) | Completed paperwork with insurance agent to defer coverage until leaving the dealer lot. Got the $16.5k bank check for down payment with bank, $2.2k bridge loan to be liquidated first week in January. Package sent, 'next day' via UPS just before 11 AM.
Now everyone is free to pick their accounting method of choice. But first the requirements WHICH Trumps the accounting method used:
    1. REQUIRED - Dynamic cruise control and collision avoidance - not in the 2010 Prius.
    2. Optional - EV range greater than the daily 9-10 mile each way work commute.
    3. Optional - Prius Level 2 ECO mileage.
Net out of pocket cost of Prius Prime, ~$23.9k including the 2017 tax credit. Had I gone with the Alabama offer, $31.5k including the 2017 tax credit. This savings was at the cost of an airline ticket, $98, over night hotel $100, and 1000 mile drive home. If you check my history, driving long distances in efficient cars is one of my favorite activities.

The dealer in Baltimore where I bought my Prime Advanced had a buyer in Missouri thinking the dealer would deliver it to him at no added cost, but ended up having it flat-bed trucked to his home. For my second 2004 Prius (Gen 2 had long waiting lists), I bought a one-way ticket and had the salesman pick me up at the Charleston, WV airport. For this 2017 purchase, the dealer sent a driver to pick me up at Baltimore Washington airport after I dropped off my one way rental car, so I look at that as an additional $95 I spent on my purchase.
