Owners/prospective buyers, what would you want added or changed on the current Prime?

For me, I'd love to have the camera system from the RAV4 and Apple CarPlay added. I know CarPlay is a long shot but the camera is definitely a possibility.

I would like to have smartphone integration that allows for apps, I don't car if it is CarPlay (as long as it is also Android Auto) or some other system but something that lets me bring updated maps forward. This of course eats into Toyota's cash cow for those few of us who insist on updating our maps and pay through the nose for a simple microSD.

My other thing would be a quick cycle to a smaller battery structure so that some more of the cargo area was usable. I hear they already have a smaller pack they are looking at, it would be great to seem them introduce this as soon as possible.

I haven't seen the camera in the RAV4, my test drive in the RAV4 Hybrid didn't require me to ever be in reverse. I will have to go try it again as we continue to debate if we should consider a RAV4 or Niro as a second car to do our camping and kayaking (awful expensive hobby if this is all you need a second car for though).

Keep in mind that no one here designs Prius, and those that do most likely do not read English.

This is a fine wish list, but nothing will happen because of it.

Better quality camera. The backup camera on my lower resolution 7" LCD looks much clearer, especially at night, compared to the Gen 4/Prime with the 7" LCD screen.

Wheel well sound insulation like the last gen Camry/Avalon. There's still too much tire noise. (But wind and road noise is significantly better than Gen 2/3).

An extra USB port. Come on, this is 2016.

Greater flexibility in split-screen functionality for the 11.6" screen.

    Make an eco version.
    No.
Not ecological.....that would be extra redundant.

Also...drug test everyone in the design department.

full hatch and 5 seats, in that order. keep the ice off in ev mode like they claimed they did, but get rid of the 48 reasons it might come on.

    For the Prime:

+1 on the 5 seats and a normal rear hatch class (not curved)....both are deal breakers for me.

    For the regular Prius:

An early mid model redesign ala what Honda did with the previous Civic where they redesigned just 1 year after the release.

How about a Prius v prime?

But instead Use the extra length to streamline lowering CDa and gaining cargo space

Do something about the glare coming from the large touchscreen in the premium and advanced - so annoying in the morning and night. Backup camera in a different location or a cleaner for it - its located in a vacuum region and gets dirty quickly, making it difficult to see. I would also like to see an on-demand backup camera view. Electronic push button hatch close would be nice too. The charging door sometimes opens difficult too. And make the apps for the Advanced model available for purchase for non-advanced owners!

    Two requests:
    1. Apple and Android integration. The user interface on the 11" screen is so 1980's and the Nav is so inferior to Google Maps. And retrofit to my 2017!
    2. 50 mile EV range.

1.) Apple CarPlay- why is Toyota so late to the party???
    2.) 2 or 3 USB ports
3.) More sticky tires (and quieter)
    4.) Less road/tire noise
5.) Over the air Entune updates like Tesla
6.) More aggressive lane departure warning steering
    7.) More comfortable seats
    8.) Real leather option
    9.) Cooled seats
10.) Full Autonomy! (with an option to drive yourself)

An updated infotainment system. For such a sophisticated car, the navigation and cellphone integration is terrible. When a standalone Garmin is superior to the built in nav Andy costs less than a simple Prius map update, you know there is something terribly wrong.

Seeing as I considered waiting for the Prime, and instead didn't wait (good idea) and bought a Liftback... I guess that makes me eligible to post.

#1 priority is to repackage the rear end, so that the battery lump goes away, even if it's at the expense of fuel capacity. VAG (with an independent rear suspension, even) and Hyundai have done it, by taking advantage of the fact that an irregularly-shaped fuel tank is easier than an irregularly-shaped battery.

Homelink mirror should be standard across all models.
