Apologies if this topic has already been covered, but I didn't see it anywhere else. On my 2017 Prius Prime Advanced the 11" display screen is incredibly bright at night -- to the point of distraction. Did I miss where/how to lower the brightness? Is there an auto-setting I couldn't find? Am I just SOL?

Is it possible you have the screen in "DAY MODE", you forgot to turn on your headlights, or have the instrument panel in DAY mode as well (max bars. Max brightness with dimming is one click down from "MAX" if you're adjusting the instrument panel brightness)

In the Premium, there is a control switch to the left of the steering wheel, down where the gas tank release is. There is also a setting from the screen, but I don't remember where it is. Mine switches automatically between day and night.

I recall in Prius 2012 model year for Prius, looking through the Canadian specs. Sadly noted: it was no longer possible to get any level without a screen. Our '10 Canadian Touring has no screen, does have the back up camera: image pops up in the rear view mirror.

It can be done, it is possible to have a car without a great effing computer monitor, sucking in more and more functions, functions that used to be controlled by tactile, eyes-on-the-road knobs and sliders.

    Sorry, ranting.

    lol.

Coming from a Gen 2 Prius which threw in most of the functions into a large 7" LCD, I was missing the "standard radio" unit in the Gen 3. Opted for the Tech pack to get the screen I was used to in the Gen 2.

the large prime screen is overwhelming. i wouldn't want to have to make too many adjustments while driving. they give you hud, so you won't have to take your eyes off the road, and then...
