I frequently check dealer in my area. Most of them have at least one Prime parking on the inventory lot. But supply is still very limited. Some dealer take advantage of demand put "mark up" on top of MSRP. Here are 2 dealers Kearny Mesa Toyota MSRP+$500 mark up Tustin Toyota MSRP+$2k mark up Longo Toyota offer the opposite, and much better deal they have several Plus available at MSRP-$1k off. Yes 1k discount. I am not affiliated with them. Just was frustrated when hopping for dealer to dealer who doesn't honor what they said online. I wonder if dealer in north California is also playing the mark up trick right now.
1k off msrp, is that the factory cash rebate by Toyota? If it's 1k off on top of Toyota factory rebate, that's 2k off and I would grab it right away. Have you tried other So Cal dealerships? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Purchased a Prime this week and received 1K off MSRP. I received an information sheet that the 1K off is available from 1/4/2017 to 1/31/2017 effective for San Francisco Region (maybe other regions too?) I just checked Toyota inventory for prime in my zip code and a few days ago inventory was ~60 and today it jumped to 120 vehicles. I have never seen the inventory this high and I have been checking daily since December and stopped checking when I purchased my car. Just a reminder that tax rate in Bay Area is close to 9%.
Sales tax depends on where car gets registered to, doesn't matter the city where you purchase. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Toyota of Berkeley had a market of about $1000-$1500, but Berkeley is like Prius ground zero and while annoyed I was not surprised.
Minimum is 7.25% California State Sales Tax Rates | TaxRates.com I don't know where you have to live to get that low a rate. Probably not in a metro area. Food in a food store and clothing are not taxed. Social Security benefits are not taxed.
Bowang, you live close to me. Go to El cajon toyota, they don't mark up the price. As of last night they had 2 in Stock. I got my blue plus from them.
