Question about the LDA. If I stray over a broken line marker, (as on some two lane highways) the Lda does not seem to detect this. Is this normal? Or is there a sensitivity adjust? Any help appreciated

That is normal, what the camera sees is not always reliable, it doesn't see lane markings or kerb edges unless they are very clear and it doesn't work under a certain speed (32 mph IIRC). There is a sensitivity you can adjust in the menus on this, high or standard. Make sure you haven't accidently turned it off, on the steering wheel.

The faster you are going the better it is. It will correct your steering into the lane but will over compensate and create a B-52 Air refueling wallow behind a tanker until you run off the road. Unless you wake up and take control. Tried it on a back stretch when my wife was asleep. It is a perfect simulator for a drunk behind the wheel.Mine works fine on all lines but only at higher speeds.

I find that the LDA detects white line markers more than yellow ones. White is bright.

LDA sensitivity can be fine tuned in settings if I remember correctly from the user's manual. Check it out.

(I am amazed how much I know of a car I don't even know when I am getting delivered....)

    Especially Pearl White.
Played with the adjustments and put it back to standard or whatever the setting is. It is for people who fall asleep at the wheel or drunk drivers. Mine is almost too sensitive but I am afraid to make it less as it might not help me when I need it.

Well, that's also one of its purposes... ;)
Where you feeling tired? maybe not, but your driving made the car think you were not super fit to drive it further...

I drive home from work on a curvy hilly road, and have learned to temporarily turn the LDA off during that section. Beeps when I "cut the corners" on the curbside. Got the "rest" declaration every day.

my LDA seems a little over-ambitious and beeps regularly (I am not that sloppy a diver).

I have tried reducing sensitivity and switched it off but the beeping still goes on.

Could it be that you cannot switch it off below a certain threshold?

My LDA works really well, but the steering assist is not available and I've not been able to find it to enable it. I've looked quite a bit and didn't find anything in the manual. I have a 2016 Touring 4 and otherwise am ga-ga over the car.

It's the first car that I've read the manual cover to cover before getting it.

+1. I've yet to feel the steering assist kick in. It also doesn't work at night for me. I just set it to the max sensitivity and haven't tried it at night to see if it makes a difference.

Update: I just read in the manual that steering assist can be turned on or off in the settings. I have to check if mine is off.

Update 2: The display says that steering assist is in. I can't get it to work. Maybe my car has a defect. I tried going close, even over the line. It beeped but I felt nothing through the steering.

Anybody see the problem here? Driving error or spell checker? :D

Your English is much better than my German, though.

You guys have such a long delivery time over there. You have time to read the 600 page manual several times before you can take delivery.

Seems to be picky about the quality and paint on the pavement. Had it happen with new paint and work fine with old paint.

If you see the blinking orange/amber steering wheel icon on the ride of the IP, steering assist has kicked in. Sometimes it's really subtle. On a couple of occasions, I've felt it in the steering wheel (that was on the highway) when i was doing tests. At city speeds, I've never felt it.

Well the Wonder Car 2016 Touring saved my life last June. Unfortunately I dozed off at 70 mph and the beeping and steering assist worked perfectly. I am a huge fan and made a promise to rest if tired.
