That looks a bit like what they sell as a RAV4 here. Is it called a PRIUS there?

No Prius that I have ever seen in the US. It appears to be a Toyota Hybrid though.

Yup. It is the Prius v replacement. I looked at the Rav4 Hybrid but I was discouraged by the fact that the rear seats fail to fold very flat. That cargo space is almost useless to me.

What about the Highlander Hybrid? Too large?

The Highlander hybrid was too expensive for me to consider. I could have purchased the low end model for what I paid for my Prius. But I wanted all the gadgets this time around. I really like the Highlander though. If I had lots of cash, I'd likely be driving one.

I'm sort of confused - I tend to think Tideland's "Yeah it's the RAV4 XLE Hybrid AWD-i" adds up best.

Not sure where the PRIUS v comments, came from, nor the OP post which said it was a PRIUS.

It looks nothing like either PRIUS or the PRIUS v we have here - but like RAVE4 (which we don't get as hybrid).

There is a discussion about whether there will be a new generation Prius v in the US. Some [people think there may not be one.

Just so long as your wife can open her door without scratching your great looking car, that looks like a good one. And easier on the back getting in.

But those doors are big and heavy.

Perhaps you can use your Prius as a buffer?

I think it the OP mentioned it as a jest.

Over here, the RAV4 Hybrid is doing pretty well and as consumers, we suspect it will replace the Prius v as the family choice for a hybrid hauler. Yes it doesn't get the same mileage (~7.3L/100km vs. 5.6L/100km) but it does have more ground clearance, higher seating position, AWD and a more powerful engine that can handle a fully loaded vehicle.
