Just purchased my first Prius. 2014 Prius two with 32k miles. I am loving it so far (only had it 2 days). I bought it for my wife, but I've been the only one driving it Lol. I work at a Toyota plant and i own a 2014 Toyota Avalon XLE Touring and now a 2014 Toyota Prius Two.
Welcome! Enjoy the Hybrid driving experience. The Prius is not as spacious as the Avalon, but it will totally beat it in fuel economy. Perhaps the Prius will convince you to consider another hybrid or PHEV for your next car.
Just FYI, you may want to test drive a Gen 4 (2016 or 2017 Prius when you get a chance, for comparison. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at some of the improvements from your Gen 3. You cannot beat the price of a good used car, though.
Wait for the TNGA version though. It would either have the improved HSD from the Gen 4 Prius or the (Gen 4.5) Prime.
Well I only got the prius because my wife drives 102 miles a day to school. wasnt looking at a new car, just somthing to get her back and forth in. but now I'm really liking it. i got a killer deal on it. like i said its a 2014 with 32k miles i got it for 14k out the door. i was looking at the 2017 Prius Prime Advanced now that i really enjoy what I've seen thus far.
