You were thinking you and your hot dog would not fit in a Prius c.

I actually sat in a Prius c. Tried it on for size. Also a Toyota Yaris. I kinda liked that little Yaris.
(But I was also drunk at the time. :ROFLMAO: )

When the engine starts in my gen 4, is only moves forward a couple inches. My gen 2 lurches a foot forward unless I press the brakes really hard. I hit a cabinet in my garage while my gen 2 was in park just from the engine turning on.

    It's probably normal.

Yaris, I'd have to wear that one, not get in it.

I know a few years ago when we looked at the Yaris, the first thing that drove us away was the speedometer, etc.. in the center of the dash, not in the driver's field of view. Who thought of that and how did it pass the safety requirements in the US?

Yeah, that seems reasonable. Otherwise, how would anything move?

Obviously you have not been properly maintaining the car. It lunged forward on its own looking for tools.

But once you get used to it, you find it's never blocked by the steering wheel spokes.

True, but you need to take your eyes off the road in front to check, much like the Prius MFD.

Unless you have a HUD, you have to do that anyway. Or unless you have a ratty old Chevette where there's a different harmonic rattle and shake at every speed. :)

I've maintained it properly. It has 243,000 miles. BTW, the link sent me to a music video.

Question: is there anyway to dampen the lurch? I will be car-camping and wish to use a/c. Lurch will wake us with every recharge event. Would chocking the wheels help?

    Thanks for any thoughts.

not that i know of. certainly worth trying the chocks. i suppose this is the biggest camping complaint. some cars seem worse than others, not sure why
