California License Plates + HOV Sticker

Received my plates today from the dealer, and was pleasantly surprised that it also included the carpool stickers. The certificate doesn't indicate the license plate number, but it does show the VIN. Kudos to Toyota of Orange for ordering these with my plates and covering the fee (now $22)! Now I just need to find a reason to use the carpool lane, lol (I don't need to use the freeway during commute times)...I don't even plan on affixing these for the time being.

 

Has anyone got their Clean air rebate yet? I submitted my app last week. Initially it was for $1500 but after a answered a few questions, i actually qualified for more. Car that keeps on giving =)

 

I picked up my car today (bought it on 12/5). The dealer was able to print a temporary registration with my plate number. Just submitted the application for the carpool labels.

 

I don't know if they can do this for the Prime, but back with the original Plug-In, CA dealers could order HOV decals from the DMV when they got the VIN info. They didn't have to wait for the plate number, like buyers do.

 

My dealer got the stickers for me. I am still waiting for my plates.

still trying to find out what to put in the License Plate info on my new Prius. My dealer does not know the plate #... ugh.

 

Thank you for posting and notifying to people able this rebate. I have just applied today and the site says it can take 30 to process and 45 if proof of income and other documents are needed. For myself it seems I only qualified for the $1500 only.
Can anyone answer a question for me: Is this the same $1500 that is offered by the state thru taxes or if this and that two different things?

 

Yes! Like perhaps adding some high res cameras to take photos of violators on HOV lanes.. I know they red light cameras failed in California but as far as HOV justification I am all for it.

 

Okay, spoke with my dealer who applied for the HOV sticker for me. Does anyone know how it will arrive? Will the dealer get it or will I get it in the mail?

Came from the dealer. The plates were postmarked from the dealer, and the carpool stickers were inside as well. The carpool lane certificate doesn't state the plate number, but it does match the VIN of the car.

 

I bought mine on the 12/5 and received my plate today. However, I'm Still waiting for the hov sticker to show up... FYI. my $22 is still not cleared in my bank which mean DMV has not process my application up to now.. :-(

No, not yet. I keep checking my bank account to see if the check was cashed.

 

When did you submit your application? I did mine on the 12/14. It's more than a month.. :-(
