I know it is 0W-20 weight synthetic. I don't know what the API certification is.

any 0w-20 is fine. A lof uses Mobile 1. I am using Armsoil atm and I find it very good, after 2000miles it is still golden colour. Never have I ownted a car the oil is still golden after 2000 miles. I think it is because of my none aggressive style of driving these days or the oil is too good. :)

Welcome to PChat. I'm sure you'll do it, but read your manuals. I learned a lot from reading them.

Correct, and not all 0W20 oils meet those standards.

The posters who said that any 0w20 oil will work are incorrect.

    Well "recommended" is not "required".
So it is true that any 0W20 will work.....as will other grades too.
The question then is how good they will work.

P.S. If it has the OEM oil fill cap, it probably says right on there.

I would be seriously afraid to use "A Bird" brand oil. Only major brands can be trusted. When oil bottle has both a bird and us flag on it it's surely counterfeit.

You know this thread is 6 years old. Right?

The technology is almost 150 years old, and Priuses last and last.

The Australian Owner's Manual shows pretty much the full gamut of oil grades.

The owner's manual says it must be an "ILSAC" certified oil. It appears that the ABRO brand is so certified, if their packaging is truthful.

Do you mean 0w-20 and 5w-20? Or are even heavier weights used for the extreme heat Sometimes seen in Australia? Appreciate your input.

I must say that my honda was a only 0w20 oil vehicle, but in other countries honda recommended 5w 30 and 10w30 oil. That car's engine loved he other grades and mpg didn't suffer, and the engine was quieter too.
