So I have a 2013 Prius trim 3 that I bought but it appears to be the plus package because it has the 17 inch rims tinted windowd and its lower, it also has some chrome on the lower doors. now instead of having the exterior plus package emblem/badge it has this emblem instead that seems to have the letters p and t. What is this? What type of Prius is this? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Looks like the previous owner did some "dressing up". The emblem is from a dealer here in Tucson, AZ, Precision Toyota
Welcome to Prius Chat! Never heard of a "Prius Plus". Chrome on bottom of doors is OEM. Have the same thing on our Prius. I added them after purchase. Body side molding is not OEM however, appears to be aftermarket. It is not uncommon to find Prius dolled up from the dealers. Ours came with expensive 17" rims and tires. Below is what the OEM side molding's look like. Don't have a pic of the chrome with the hybrid emblem, but I assure that those came from Toyota and are optional add on. I believe they are no longer available.
I also didn't hear about the Toyota Prius plus until yesterday. Search it up on google and you'll be surprised. I sure am Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I did a google on it, and I see what you mean. I don't believe your Prius is a "plus", but don't go by my opinion. A dealer "might" be able to say yes or no, but I would not put a lot of stock into any answer from a dealer either. Toyota Prius Plus (2015) review by CAR Magazine
Because the rims the Prius has are the actual Prius plus rims. I feel lick the previous owner put them on but its not an authentic Prius plus Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Chrome on bottom of doors is OEM and came standard on our 2012. I've seen it on some 2011's, but nothing later than 2012 or 2013. Wheels are definitely different. Our 2012 is much lower than the 2008 - always reminded when pulling in somewhere to park.
