Hi. I have a 2008 Prius, no aux port. I am looking to buy this: Car MP3 Player Radio Interface Aux In Input Adapter For Camry Corolla Yaris | eBay. I am pretty sure I can install it myself. It appears it will work with my 2008 Prius. My question is --- when connected, will I be able to switch back and forth from mp3 player to the radio or cd player or does the aux take over permanently? Thank you!
I have one of these installed in my 2007 - USB Android iPhone iPod ID3-Text Interface for Toyota & Lexus (6+6-Pin CDC-Port | eBay It provides both a 1/8" aux jack and the ability to plug in a USB thumb drive with MP3's on it and navigate the drive using the MFD. If the one you're looking at works similarly, your car will essentially think it's an external CD changer. So you'd push the CD button once to go to the actual CD player then a second time to go to the aux adapter.
how ?? i get this one Moonet Car CD adapter mp3 3.5mm AUX TF SD USB For 12P Matrix Prius RAV4 Tacoma Tundra Venza Vitz Yaris OEM adapter QX005 on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group but it didnot work ?? any advice ?
Going to need to give me more information than that for any hope of advice. Looking at the photos on the listing, I can tell you the port they're having you plug into is the external CD changer port and that's where the device I own plugs into as well. What happens when you try to connect to it?
Yes, I am curious as to how your experience turns out. The one you bought is similar to the one I am looking at. It seems simple enough.
