Today you can buy wood burning stove for heating that use firebrick. Here's the one I bought earlier this year.
Englander 1,200 - 1,800 Sq. Ft. Wood Burning Stove | England's Stove Works, Inc. | Englander Stoves

The EPA restrictions mean it does not heat as well as older stove designs, though :(

To see the headlamp levelers work you have to be patient and have some weights. Turn on the headlamps and mark on a stick or wall in front where the beams hit. Add weight to the hatch (50-100 lbs minimum to actually do something). Turn the headlamps back on. There is a delay built in so road undulations don't cause "hunting" so be patient. The beams should move back to the original position (they should start out high).

Why are GIV owners getting flashed? Either Toyota is adjusting them too high or other drivers are not used to seeing such nice bright headlamps and think they are high. You can still adjust them too high (or low), they just automatically readjust to where they are set when you change the vehicle loading.

That screenshot was taken from the US technical manual o_O

It's aimed very close to the limit. The Corolla has a similar issue (but it's also blue when viewed so there's a slightly more annoying factor).

Also, I wonder if it's because the headlights are mounted lower (cause the car is lower than the Gen 3).

Think about it, to illuminate at a certain distance, an SUV would be pointing down its headlights while a car will have a shallower/smaller angle. If both vehicles hit the same bump in the road, the car is more likely to shine the light at an oncoming car, than the SUV. Or, more critically, the brightest part of the light is more likely to hit the cornea of the oncoming driver in the car than in the SUV.

I've never had anyone flash their lights at me. But I do realize just how bright the LED lights are, every time I see a New Corolla coming. They are very nice lights.

I assumed it was from a Canadian manual since it is on autos.ca.

Since this thread is now talking about features, I have a question.

Has anybody figured out if the Two has the ceramic heater in the climate control? Every source I find is vague. My 2017 does not seem to have it.

Good question. And does my 2016 Three have it?

I noticed that the gas engine stays on much longer when I have the Temp set at 70 or above. (Even longer and more often than when I am running the AC.) Not a problem, as I am still learning about this funny Disneyland car after eight months. :)

If the street are really dark . I do get the flashing . I told the guy those are my regular light. I like them I can see better than with the Gen 3 . Corolla has the same light .

I believe it is clear that Eco and higher have it.

You can test that too. On a morning when it's around 50F and the car has been off all night, start the car and turn on the heat and force the fan on by selecting "defrost". After about a minute or two you should be able to feel -some- heat coming from the vents. The engine will not be warm at this time. That heat will be from the electric heater.

I never said the electric heater worked well, I just said it does add -some- heat. I've only felt it once in 4 years. As I recall it's around 400 Watts (or am I confusing the "block heater"?). Note that most electric heaters you buy for home use are around 1 kW.
Try checking at the mid level vents, not the windshield ones. They are mostly cut off so the air movement won't cool your hand more than the "warm" air will warm it.

Autos.ca refers to the video that a Canadian journalist did on the 2016 Prius LED headlight. :)

The topic of the auto-levelling function came up in that thread so I copied & pasted an excerpt from the manual.

I just verified that my engine turned on at 34 F with climate control turned off. After running for a couple of minutes, I verified the climate control air was still quite cold. It is unlikely the (2017) Two has the ceramic heater.

Some do. See Prius is re-engineered on Toyota New Global Architecture - SAE International

The air conditioner features a quieter electric compressor and for heat, the car has an electric ceramic heater to warm the cabin more quickly than the main engine-coolant heater does.

That article does not differentiate between standard & options, though. I believe the Toyota Press Release implied Two Eco & up, but it too was vague.

My son's 2015 Prius v 5 has the ceramic heater.
