Well it's obviously better to ship the initial allocation to the states where they will sell quickly first. What's the point of keeping your customers waiting at high interest locations by shipping vehicles to places that have lower interest?

What about the people who show interest in the states that don't sell well and snubbing them by not taking orders? :( I got my first Plug In online even though I wasn't in the 15 states that Toyota sold to

it will improve as inventory is built and shipped. michigan shouldn't be too far behind the curve, plus your surrounded by other states that might get some sooner. as long as you own a boat.:)

Again, they have to make a business case and if they want to sell more, they have to shift product where the higher initial demand is.

I've lived in a place of pickups and yeah it's hard to find a hybrid.

Hell I think now that QC has released their zero emission plan (basically mimics CARB's), I suspect Toyota will ship more to that province to gain the ZEV credits.

Don't forget places like CA (now add QC, Canada) have legal ZEV sales mandates...so I think the whole reason for Prime is to get the $$money for ZEV credits for Toyota. Meanwhile with many states adding Plug-In incentives, there will be overall demand so it's a 50 state car...but give it time.

The only "incentive" we got in Michigan is a $30.00 increase in the registration tax if you have a plug in electric car

    Nov 13th update:
OK - here's what's here available today at a discount thru me:

    Premium:
    Blue magnetism/moonstone
    Blue magnetism/moonstone

    And, here's what's arriving soon:

    Advanced:
    RED/black

    Premium:
    Blizzard white pearl/black
    Magnetic gray/black
    Magnetic gray/black
    Magnetic gray/black

    PLUS (Base)

    Titanium Glow/black

I have very good deals for these, considering the horrible 3% average profit margin in them. I also help with the state money application as well as the federal tax credit details. And, we assign plates here quickly for faster HOV decal getting.

I'm bummed that I cannot edit a very recent post.
I do not mean to spam with inventory but every time it changes with a new allocation or as deliveries happen, I have to re-post it all.

    Nov 15th @ 4pm update:

    Here's what's arriving very soon:

    Advanced:
    Gray/black (possibly pre-sold)
    Blue Magnetism/moonstone

    Premium:
    Blizzard white pearl/black
    Blizzard white pearl/black
    Magnetic gray/black (possibly pre-sold)

    Magnetic gray/black
    Silver/black

    PLUS (Base)
    Titanium Glow/black
    Blizzard white pearl/black
    Hypersonic Red/black

PlugIns have a $500 rebate OR 1.9 apr OR a low lease rate offered thru Dec 5th.
I have no-added markups over the MSRP for these, good pricing considering the horrible 3% average profit margin in them and the many dealerships adding "market adjustments".
I also help with the state money application as well as the federal tax credit details. And, we assign plates here quickly for faster HOV decal getting.

The $6,000+ I saved by buying a 2016 non-PIP, will allow me to buy enough gas for the next 30 years!

Sorry guys, but I just don't see what the big attraction is to the plug-in Prius.

HOV lanes 24/7 with green decal. Federal tax credit of $4500. State check for $1500. And, no gas per 27-30 miles of driving... and for some with smaller commute or those who can plug in home + work, no gas at all. THAT is the allure of this car in California.

    Copy that.

In those scenarios, it does have its appeal. But I am just an older, nonworking retired slug. Avoiding the freeways at all cost. For the hard-working younger folks, those daily commuters, I'm sure the Prime will be an excellent vehicle. Especially if you live less than 20 or 25 miles from work and only drive city streets.

I sure like the way the rear end looks. And the front with those new headlights. Beautiful car.

    28k - 6k = 22k - 500 off = $21,500.
