    I meet with my dealer at 10am in the morning (11-7-16). Will eval my 2011 Prius for trade in and order my Prime Sliver Premium. I am assuming a deposit will be put down at that time as well. I sure hope they don't tell me I have a 75 day window. I really want mine before the 1st of the year. But at least things are moving. Have not been this excited since I got my 2005 Prius back in 2005. That was a struggle to get as well.

    Someone soon will be posting here that they have theirs.

    My dealership stated dealership arrival between November 7th - November 15th. Port arrival on October 31st

    OK, met with my dealership this morning. They eval my 2011 Prius for trade in and I put $1000 down for deposit. Silver Premium with black interior. Said they would order it with this months mid month orders. Then expect it to arrive early Jan to mid Jan. Hoped it would be sooner but at least I have one coming now. He did say I could have gotten a grey with moonstone sooner but that is not what I wanted. I said I would be willing to wait for what I wanted. They said I would be the 1st person to have a Prime from this dealership. I told him that should at least be worth a cupcake.

    I am going to start on the secret Prime wave today. Hope to have it mastered by Jan.

    Texted my sales rep asking if they have a date yet for when my Prime will arrive:

    "No exact dates. It is still looking like the arrival time is in December because it's a special ordered car"

    From this I gather that Primes will arrive at my dealership possibly before this, but since I asked specifically for a Plus in silver they ordered it special. Based on the post above it looks like if you want your Prime configured a certain way you may be waiting for at least another month but they may arrive at dealerships (on the east coast) soon.

    You remember Christmas when you were a kid? It was the "want" that was the drive. Looking at the presents each day wishing you could open them. Then when the bid day arrived you tear through them and it is over. For some the box is more interesting. It is the wait, the want, that is worth the effort.

    So that is how I am justifying having to wait until the 1st of the year.

    Excited! New here, love reading the tips and comments. Port delivery nov 8 for my Prius Prime (premium, hypersonic red, black interior). Trading in a 4Runner. I called Carlsbad Toyota on oct 30 and put the $500 down on this VIN.

    Just checked One Toyota at Oakland. They have 10 coming. 1 red, 4 white and 5 silver. 1/3-1/3-1/3 diff. models. Manufactured 10/30, at port 11/6. Will be available in 2-3 weeks/by the end of this month.
