Playing Music via USB in Prius C

    After over a month of testing with a 4GB, 8GB and 16GB stick, as much as I liked filling up my 16GB with music for access to more playlists, I had so many corruption issues.

    Not sure if it has to do with the re-reading of the drive, but it was getting so bad that when I was listening to a song, the USB port would just lose connection or something and the song would then stop at a certain point.

    This would happen to several songs I would listen to, but when I would go back to listen to it again, where the song last stopped, the MP3 would register at it ending at that point. The only fix was to recopy the MP3 back into the playlist to fix it.

    The 8GB didn't have a problem, yet. But so far, I found the 4GB to be ideal in terms of quick playback and no corruption issues.

    I filled up 32g usb3.0 low profile drive with thousands of songs.

    I didn't notice any lag when I first put it in and I haven't taken it out. Starts instantly where object off. I might pull it out though since none of my music has album art might be nice to add it.

    My only complaint is the lack of easy navigation. Why I can't just plug it in and have it recursively play every song in a row with an optional skip to next folder, I have no idea .

    Plug the drive into your computer. Create a playlist with Windows Media Player or your program of choice. Sort all your songs by album and drag all the albums into it. Name it "All Songs". Then in your Prius use the voice command Play Playlist All Songs. It will play all the songs in an album and then switch to the next album. Use the up/down arrows over the volume knob to skip a track when needed. If you want to skip to a different album before one is finished, activate the Random option before hitting the arrow key, then deactivate it if you decide to stay with that album.

    If you prefer to not go by album at all, but just play all songs at random, activate the Random option right at the start and it will skip around.
