Brand new 2016 Prius three with ATP. Build date July 2016...the car had two miles on it when I got it!
I have purchased two off lease and one new Pruii, the debate is do I sacrifice 15 to 30,000 miles to save $10,000 dollars in cash over the cost of a new vehicle? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
With the $2k rebates and deep dealer discounts for a left-over 2016, you might find a new vehicle quite a bit less than you might have expected.
We don't finance vehicles, my 2013 V was just a shade under 16K which stripped the cash from our savings. They still Had a 2015 V leftover but it would have to be financed for 24 months was the shortest loan and we don't like to be in debt. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I don't like the new bodystyle, it seems too chopped up, I really liked the clean lines of the gen2, I liked the 08 but when the milage really dropped (38 avg) and it was going thru 2 quarts of oil between changes (10 K with synthetic) 120K miles with the original batterys and needing tires, I traded. Nope. None of the Toyota safety sense features were available. Does not even have TPMS. Roof and bootlid were vinyl wrapped... The Prius is not very popular here.
I'm new. My plan was originally to buy the regular Prius, but I couldn't find any in my area that were new enough and in my price range. Instead, I financed a 2012 C, and she's already taken me camping in the week I've owned her. I traded in my 1997 Chrysler Cirrus during a "cash for clunkers" deal that was on. Suffice to say, anything was an improvement! The plan is to pay it off in 4-5 years, and hope that charging stations have become more common. Then I'll upgrade to whatever hybrid/electric vehicle Toyota has released. Or a Tesla...if I've won the lottery by then.
I joined the forum after watching for quite a while. Excited to learn. Here's my '13 II which since buying CPO in April, I've installed TRD lowering springs, TRD rear sway bar, Cusco strut tower brace, window tint, ventvisors, Husky floorliners, and the strange but effective JDM center console organizer. I look forward to continuing on my journey with this car. Here's a few pics: In the urban jungle I took it camping to Los Padres National Forest with my bf this past April, where it was completely out of it element on rough dirt roads, it did well all things considered. Plucky little cars, these. At the trailhead In my hometown, by the beach.
This is my second Prius (my first went to a son whose car died). There are now 5 Prii in my family (mother, sister, daughter, son, me).

I'm new to the Prius with the 2016 Prius Two Eco that I just bought 2 weeks ago. I couldn't find an introduction thread and the forums on this site are more difficult to navigate than I have time for right now, but I'm less overwhelmed in a couple weeks and will see if I can get in these forums for some questions. Until then, I'm just going to post this introduction and hope others can see it.
