Hello All, Well not sure how I got here but I did. Paid off my Benz and Honda accord ...can say it has been nice with no car payment. However the main goal was to limit spending on gas. I have a few newbie question(s) 1. What kind a fuel do I use 2. How much for a full tank of Gas 3. How miles should a full tank last me. lastly I drive 280 Miles a day, should I be on Normal , Power or Eco mode.
congrats and welcome! 1) regular 87 octane. 2) twenty bucks 3) 350-400 depending on driving style. lastly, i like eco, but it's a personal decision. depends on weather you prefer mpg's, performance or a balance. all the best!
87 octane, "Regular" (Regular gas price per gallon) times gallons (Achieved mpg) times gallons where gallons is a number from your owners manual, in the glove compartment...

Finance Charge $7.000 Amount Financed $22.000 Total Payments $31.000 72 Months $417 a month I make 6 figures , so payment really isn't an issue. Thinking I should refi when my score is stronger any thoughts????
The mode setting makes no difference on mpg in my experience. It does however affect how much throttle you need to use. I leave mine on ECON.
FWIW we drive our 2016 Prius v Three in normal mode and let the computer pick the mode. I spend around $18 per tank ($1.79 per gallon) when I fill up our car using 87 octane fuel. We typically get gas mileage around town in the mid to high 40's range. That's a manually calculated MPG figure which runs 2-3 MPG lower than the computer estimate on Trip A display I use between fill ups.
Good to know , huge change in what I was pay weekly for the Accord and Benz. Question , 1. How do I show how many miles are left on the tank of gas?
Each graduation on the fuel gauge is 1.2 gallons since the tank is supposed to hold 12 gallons. I tend to get gas when I get to the last graduation on the fuel gauge. There is a display showing estimated range. Press Apps > Eco if my memory is correct. Also pages 106 & 109 in the owners manual.
:0 long story short I need to read up on the owners manual. will try to find time this weekend. for now, you all have been a great source of info. Few things I have noticed that can be a problem area. 1. The front lights seem to be very bright , well extremely bright. guess its a good thing , 2. When placing items in the trunk , that space were it shuts looks like it can be scratched easily. wonder if there a bumper guard for it. 3. I am used to driving with space under the Steering wheel, however there is a white plate covering the space up. 4. can charge my IPhone 6S all are , no were close to show stoppers. I still sold on this little jewel. something I did not expect, holly cow.... the Stereo has some serious range. sounds really good, what type of system is it?
I'm not sure what you mean concerning items 2 and 3? On long road trips I simply plugin my iPhone 5s to the 12 volt car charger port. I have never plugged into the USB port. I paired our phones, an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 4, to the car using Bluetooth when we first got the car. Besides the full hardcopy of the owners manual you should have received with the car this are PDF versions available online. I have copies on my iPad for example. Your picture shows a new Gen4 liftback. But the profile says Prius v Wagon. Which is it? That 31K would have bought a LOT of gas for the Mercedes and Honda. And you could take your time and slowly repair your credit. And you would not have payments... at 9.2% interest rate??! People see my new Prius and say, "Wow, I hear those cars get really good gas mileage." And I say, "Yeah, and that little amount of gas I'm buying only cost me 27,000 dollars!!"
Thought he meant scuffing the horizontal rear bumper threshold, not the interior cladding. There is a clear applique' for the threshold.
