Hi Everyone, I've been meaning to post for sometime. I recently bought my first prius. It is a 2004 in Tideland Pearl with 118,xxx miles on the odometer. I picked it up for a great deal of $3700. It has a couple of condition issues. There is a dent on the rear passenger door and wheel well which will take some work to fix or just leave it because it is only cosmetic. The interior was pretty badly stained it has the beige cloth seats which seem to show everything, but already got some seat covers so thats all good. I have really enjoyed it so far I have been doing all of the 120k maintenance. I so far have done new spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter, atf fluid change, throttle body cleaning. And am averaging 45 mpg for the last three tanks. Which I'm pretty stoked about. I recently installed the larger sway bar and chassis stiffener and it seems to make the turn in a lot better. Overall I am really enjoying this little car. I had just turned in my nissan leaf and was looking for something cheap to last for the next few years.
You should pay attention to the HV battery and maybe have it balanced. At 12 years old, that battery won't last much longer.
