today I decided to replace my nearly balding tires to the 195/65. I'm glad I did! ride is nicer, higher profile looks better, and my speedometer is now correct and not 2 MPH faster than with the 185/65 tire.
even if i lose 1%-4% in "actual MPG" it is well worth it.

Did you perform a dynamometer speedometer test to verify the new speedometer readings? AAA has a mobile speedometer vehicle check for members (insured or roadside service).

I've never been able to understand the need to "correct" the speedo by this method. A lot of less trivial things are now incorrect, lol.

Second gen stock size was 185/65R15. So going to 195/65R15 increases the outside radius almost 1/4", amounts to a 2% decrease in revolutions per mile.

Speaking clinically, the increase in radius is .65x10 (mm).

I know this is not acurate, but...
With my GPS app on phone with the 185, I noticed it was 2mph different, so I went to my other vehicle and it was =.
So after other reviews I decided to try the 195.. more for profile and ride, not for speed accuracy. If I'm off 1 or 2 mph, no big deal, but at work we have radars, so I'll try to see this week if my speedometer with the 195 is accurate.
