this website has gone ballistic.

I would not worry about being banned Kris. If you were to be banned, then they might as well ban everyone who has posted to this string. It would be nice though if the website could be fixed once and for all. Then maybe things might get back to normal around here.

I have been having withdrawl symptoms -- although that may actually be from refraining from drink.

Yeah, call me a jerk. but I am reading these posts and rereading my vow not to return and wow. Again, as I said, and have others, JUST TELL THE BOARD SOMETHING.

Oh, and I am glad to see another Monty Python fan! The Zoot/Castle story was one of the more twisted of the bunch in that movie. I actually took a date to see Monty Python and the Holy Grail in 1975/6? at the Orange County Cinerama Dome (Orange County, California). Being typical teens, we actually did not see much of the movie.

 

Not sure if this has been mentioned: a workaround for the hang when posting:

Cancel the page refresh. Works on iPhone for me, anyhow. Sometimes.

 

Symbol at right end of the address field, at top of page. When it's attempting to refresh (and hanging) you'll seen an X. Tap on that stops the refresh, and completes the post. At least on my iPhone.

Try that again lol.

Hmmm. If that is the case, maybe if the post hangs one needs to simply stop the page from refreshing. Is that the idea Mendel?

Trying to make it hang to check your theory on my end, but so far not hanging up right now. It figures...

Hmmm. Watching the refresh thing on my browser, never see it change from the refresh to the X, so I can't seem to stop it. I guess I am not understanding what you are conveying. Woe is me...

Tried four different times now in this post, still no joy. Somedays the site works fine, others not. Go figure...

I finally got the page to hang when posting, did the refresh thing. All it did for me was to nix part of my post, but did not post it up. Had to click "post reply" once I filled in what was nixed.

Hope this makes sense to you. It is hard to put things into words these days, and getting more difficult as time goes by. Can we say dementia?

I somehow posted the same reply like 8+ times in the Gen 4 Paint thread... Lol. Only tried to get the one post to post correctly.

Oh well. Hopefully the mods unscrewed that thread. I wasn't the only one having multi / multi / multi posts in that thread either....
