776 miles? 808 miles? 895 miles? 939 miles? I posted those photos because I have no idea where those numbers came from. I never drive more than 550 miles, and then I refuel and reset everything back to zero. (the June number of 561 miles driven is probably most accurate.) Maybe you guys can can explain it to me? It's impossible to drive 939 miles (at 60 mpg) that would require a 15 gallons tank. I'm totally lost. All those mpg displays confuse me.
Thanks Alan, but I have never driven 700, 800, or over 900 miles in a month. So where do you think those numbers come from? Maybe I have my first computer glitch? I should've left well enough alone! I was eating breakfast in my car, and I started scrolling through all those Eco display screens… (I'm only interested in ONE number. What mpg did I get on my current tank. That's easy.) Thanks Kevin. It's strange because I only get gas once a month. And I have never driven that many miles in one month.
No sir. I meant to put a ? at the end of the thread title. Maybe somebody can fix that for me. Is the car's computer just making up random numbers? I have never driven that far in a month.
If you add up all those monthly figures, do they total the total odometer reading? I just looked - mine add up to 1343, but my odometer is 1368.
May be the moderator can change the title of this thread to, "My Prius might be haunted!" Mine is very close. Similar to yours. But that still doesn't explain why the computer shows me driving 939 miles in one month, and 808 miles in another month… I never did that. (Maybe a ghost is driving my car when I'm not in it. )
That August number is now up to 44 miles. But my Trip A number, (which I reset to zero on August 1st) shows 133 miles driven? Impossible. None of it makes any sense to me. I think those Eco monitors and MPG graphs are overly complicated, unnecessary, possibly out of whack, and even "gimmicky." There is no way I ever drove 800 or 900 miles in one month. No way. I'm turning all those distracting screens off. (I'll just put the compass up there.) And I will continue to enjoy driving my Prius in the PWR mode, because it's nice and smooth and light on its feet... and refuel when I reach the last bar on the gas gauge... and the heck with the MPG's! (Don't need to check it. I know I will be getting 56-62... or whatever!)
My 09 Prius was driven 5k miles a month from the Previous owner as it has 164k mileage on it currently. My car fax shows an oil change every month for almost a year. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I only look at the "Trip-A" display now. Simple, uncomplicated, shows the miles driven and the MPG. Reset it to 0 when I fuel up with Synergy gas. Go get a hamburger. It's a nice day.
Got more than 900 miles with my old school gen3 Toyota Prius (2010) I actually hit 936 miles with a decent average speed of 33 mph. This is my very best tank ever. Driving tech: DWL P&G Sweet spot
Me too, but with a Prius4, 15" wheels and NiMh battery. In US units, 934mi at 94mpg (86.4mpg at fuel pump). 1500km con un pieno – Laevus blog
