DTC P0102 and P0113 both are related to the mass air flow sensor. P3190 shows poor engine power because of the MAF sensor fault.

Start by seeing whether the wiring harness connector to the mass air flow sensor has a problem. Remove the connector and inspect the terminals for corrosion. If cleaning is required, use isopropyl alcohol.

Reconnect the connector and make sure you hear a click which shows the latch has engaged. Disconnect the 12V battery for a few minutes to allow the logged DTC to reset. Then reconnect the battery and start the car. See whether the lights come back on and whether the drivability symptoms are the same or not.

P0456 reflects a separate problem with the fuel system. Remove the fuel cap and inspect the O-ring. Replace the cap if there is any damage. Tighten the cap until it clicks once. If you continue to have this code, the emissions control hardware on top of the fuel tank has a problem.

and it is easily removed by unscrewing the two small screws.

It might help if the OP removed the sensor and cleaned it with mass air flow sensor cleaner spray. The amber ambient air temperature sensing bulb and the two little wires (for the mass air flow sensor) which are visible once the sensor is removed need to be cleaned. Do not touch those items with anything other than the cleaner spray.

You are the OP, or original poster for this thread. OP can also mean original post, which is your post #1 in this thread.

Solid suggestions from the others. My #1 rule on the forum is Patrick always knows best. :)

The maf is very easy. Priuschat and Priusdiy (or diyprius, whatever it's called) have great write-ups. I'm guessing it's more than likely that the wiring to the MAF wasn't plugged in properly and it might just need to snap into place a little more snugly. If there is anything else, it's still very simple. Just search for any of the DIY guides listed above, ask any questions you may have after reading the guides, and hopefully we'll have your Prius back to normal in no time!

FYI Purple Penguin: This was most likely the cause of your original intermittent Check Engine Light (CEL) before the recent drivability problems.

Many thanks for all of your suggestions! I summarized all and bring a print out to the mechanic who changed the spark plugs today. I specifically asked him to check the air filter sensor. When I came back to get the car, he told me that he wanted to clean the air filter last time, and forgot to "something" back after checking. Now he remembers and fixed it without charge. I think he is an honest man, maybe embarked to tell me what it is. But now it is all good again:)

    Have a good weekend!

    +1

Anyone can make a mistake. It's how they correct that mistake that shows their character.
