That so bites. Was the guy's quota low or something? Unless it was a school zone what A-hole would pull you over for 5-over, then if he/she did still give you a ticket, the only explaination is someone peeing in his/her Wheaties this morning.

I live in a town with basically zero-crime; I once got pulled over for going 3mph over the speed limit, no school zone, optimal conditions. Hitler Youth, we call them. Told him the ticket was asinine because it would be such a waste of his day when I contested it; told me to slow down and have a nice day.

Hehehehe, and I get laughed at for having a Valentine One radar detector in my Prius.

It saved my bacon last night. I was in a hurry to get to Decatur as I had two places to stop at before they closed. I was running 65 in a 55 construction zone that hasn't seen a worker present in at least a month. Just as I'm getting ready to round a bend, it lights up with a "1", Ka, and the forward arrow, so I quickly scrub off 10 mph just in time to see a member of the Rhome money collecting authority rounding the very same corner in the opposite direction. Score another win in the V1's column.

Typically, I am not one to speed as I don't like to see the consequences of doing so on the MFD. It's that once in a blue moon time when I am in a bit of a hurry, that they are always waiting in the weeds just to pick me out.

You could save time by not sending that email to the police that you are in a hurry on this trip. How else do they know you're coming?

yup. The first speeding ticket in my 10 years of driving. I was doing about 90 in a 65. He only ticketed me for 15 over though for whatever reason. I'm sure he had a good chuckle over it..i mean seriously how many priuses do hwy troopers pull over for speeding. My guess would be a low %

    don't plan on getting another

Probably a good intention, he was helping his dad (Al) to promote the clean-hybrid by showing the public: You can be fast and got nailed in a Hybrid too.

Or maybe Al Gore's son was mistakenly thinking the MPH is MPG on his Prius dash.....

I live in the Atlanta area...had my 08 for 2 days. Got a ticket going 75 in a 65! Hard to "feel" your speed... Oh well... I think the guy enjoyed giving me the ticket.
