I would not be surprised to see this before much longer. There is something wrong. It is a shame as this site has a lot of good info and some great contributors. I too question the lack of information concerning the errors/problems/timeout's, etc.

Actually the forum is a lot bigger these days. Use to be just a bunch of first time Prius owners.

I quickly glanced at the site. A lot of advertisement. Did not stay there very long. Lots of "click bait" too.

 

Not much out there as I wound up here after the Honda Hybrid Forum.

Actually browsed this forum before my first Honda. Did not like the drive and feel of the Gen 1.

Those of us that have become forum friends I always use ETP or some form of ETP as a name. And Beaker or Bunsen Burner as an Avatar.

 

Eek. The Edmunds one looks painful. I missed the hybridcars one as a separate link. Almost afraid to look.

Against consensus, I just looked.

... well, at least it has a visual theme. First 3 pages in the member list had a sum of 0 posts. I didn't dig around any longer.

 

I have been considering this thought for quite some time now. And again, it is a shame. Prius Chat is the best site on the web for info about our Pri. I don't know what else to say. I have noted that links being included in the post's seem to add to the time out problem. I have not seen the data base error for a few days now, so maybe that problem is gone. But there are still problems when it comes to posting.

 

I could maybe successfully set up forum software on a server somewhere, but I don't have the expertise to keep it running. in fact, i could guarantee less than 99% uptime due to my lack of skill. we need something robust.

 

One of the forums had not had a post in 6 months.

 

That's the issue. All of us are just smart enough to get in trouble. I taught WEB design at UWF back in the civil war.
But these days you have to think about malicious attacks. Sort of like a big Mac attack.
