I agree. $100 for a set (2) would be OK.

It strikes me a bit funny with the last few posts, apart from discussion of cost, complexity, look: no comments on the fog light performance, how effective they are.

Our Canadian 2010 Touring came with factory fog lights, they look nice, but I can barely see any difference when I turn them on/off. Has this changed at all?

I asked this question back then in one of the thread here. May be even in this thread. Lol. Anyways the feedback was its does give off some useful light (more than previous gens). But I think our headlight is pretty good. Fogs are mostly for decoration. Just not $400 deco.

Has anyone ordered the assembly from Alibaba yet? I emailed the seller and got back to me asking if I wanted it for my use, or wanted a sample. I got back to him, telling it was for personal use. I also inquired about the shipping cost to the US. He never got back to me. I just checked and now it shows that the minimum order is one piece (one pair). I would guess with the shipping it wouldn't cost more than $150.00, which is a pretty good deal. The LED headlights work so well, I don't really care how good the fog lights works. I just like the front end "look" with them installed.

I went through the same thing with Alibaba. Can't get him to respond anymore. It seems like if a big order isn't placed they don't really care.

This is a good point! However it seems that the main issues is not the lack of a real "fog" light, but the rather ugly plastic bezels. My silly LED strip would just change the look and if I decide to install it, it will be used as a Daylight Running Light (DLR).

Sorry no pizza for me. I'd rather spend that on paying off the loan.

I am thinking of just adding a row of these to each gray block. Has anyone taken apart the block and have comments on the difficulty and information on the construction of the block? Available at Amazon here.

This is the reply I got.
    .
    Hello Jim,
Prius 2016 fog lamp is the newest model, it need MOQ 24 set, just 3 full cartons.
And the price is 102 usd/set when the quantity is under 100 sets.
    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Jeck Bell

So if 24 of us wanted them or less and the rest went on ebay...

I also considered lights like this that I saw on Rakuten this weekend. The block off plate has several dimples and I would consider placing them there. I would like to know that they are fully Waterproof. Would like a bezel type mount that also had a ball and socket that would allow me to aim the lights so they are not pointing at the side of the road.

It might be easier to wait for someone to put them on eBay. If a Chinese seller did it, it wouldn't be much more than $125.00 to $150.00 a set, with hopefully free shipping. I think it would be to much of a hassle for one of use to buy them and sell the unwanted units on eBay. You immediately lose about 13% of the sale to fees, and if you offer free shipping, that's another expense.

that's what i did.....not the best solution but for $70 can't complain, not paying for $400 OEM cosmetic fog lights.

    Vince,

    Looks good!

I was trying to see what I could drill and place in the black triangle, and look
    halfway decent.

    You did a good job!
