Almost 3 months to the day, 2016 Prius 4 came in! ATP & PCP package, moonroof. 4 miles on the odometer. Being closer to Japan doesn't mean a whole lot, I guess! Just need to install some fog lights! Waiting for some to come on the market. stt
To be honest, when I was a little kid, I liked Christmas Eve more than Christmas, the anticipation of Christmas, maybe more than the actual day. So, I think I'd enjoy more than most a 3 month wait for the exact Prius I wanted. Especially if I was living in Hawaii for those same 3 months. But glad the day finally arrived for you. Continue to enjoy.
Congratulation, being close might help. I ordered mine a couple of days after you; it will also be the Hypersonic Red. Heard from my dealer on Tuesday, expecting delivery late July.
Don, My dealer had red/black, with option packages I wanted, without the moonroof, in stock. My feeling is the moonroof option is why my wait was so long? Maybe. Wife wanted moonroof, so no option for me, but to be patient and wait. I'll spend the weekend reading the owner's manual to see how to work all the features. July will be here soon. stt
The more I look at those fog light blanks the more punitive/miserly they look. What was Toyota thinking? @Frederickdawg painted his to match body colour, came out very nice: Those fog light covers | Page 2 | PriusChat
Probably strange to hear, but I actually have grown to like mine in the Blizzard Pearl. It fits into the black and white theme...
I too thought I had to have the fog lights but wanted to go without touring. Turns out I like the look of the blanks now for the same reason stated by krmcg. J
Mendel, I did go and see frederickdawg's painting of the black covers, and he did a good job! I would only want to crawl under the car once; that is to install the fog lights. Thanks for the link! stt
Congrats, same vehicle spec here but in silver. Check yoir sunroof for wind noise after closing it from tilt up position. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Frederick, I did notice the wind noise after closing the tilt up moon roof. Sliding open then closing fixed that. Thanks, stt
I'm not having this trouble, lots of wind noise from the side but not the moonroof after tilting and closing. Unless I just can't hear it, I am nearly deaf without my hearing aids. J
I am in the same situation. I always have the option to simply unplug myself, so I can ignore all the noise around me. Particularly useful at noisy malls and weddings.
Toyota, and every other manufacturer these days, insists on sculpting some sort of "intake port" around the (missing) fog lights these days. All of this makes zero sense, lol, and cannot help aerodynamics. For comparison, on the latest Honda Civic rear bumper, there's corresponding "outlet ports", also completely blank and non functional, but hey: if you're going to have imaginary intakes...
