The reverse beep drives me insane because it is totally useless and void of any logic. And when you couple that beep with the beep of the parking sensors, it is total insane madness. I am pretty sure that Toyota engineers tested it with ear plugs. And never said anything about it to not displease some big boss who for some reason doesn't want to lose face admitting it was a mistake in the first place to put it in, for *all* markets!!!

The repeating beep setting drove me nuts but the single beep setting doesn't bother me at all. What setting is yours on?

I had on my Gen3 set it to single, a few days after delivery. I already told the dealer that I want the Gen4 delivered to me with single beep. If the day I get there they haven't set it to single, I will use my Carista App and OBD dongle and take matters in my own hand. The 50€ of the hardware and software is well worth keeping my mind from going insane. I already have to take care of the Facebook drivers/pedestrian/cyclists.

It needs to beep outside the car so everyone can run. Once every 10 secs inside the car max.
Wow, missed this thread some how.
Also need a video of a skeleton standing behind the car waiting for a tow.:ROFLMAO:
    Thanks
Also need a video backing over a salesman/seems skinny people are never detected.

Perhaps an explanation video of how the different auto braking systems work on the Prius.

The pump can only be used through the sealant bottle, so in theory you may be able to use it as a pump once the sealant has all gone but not without the bottle.
If you buy a 12v compressor, slow punctures can usually be pumped up anyhow to get you off the road to the nearest tyre shop. I didn't want to be stuck somewhere with a flat when there are no tyre shops open, so having a spare wheel was a deal breaker for me. Thus, my dealer promised me a space saver spare wheel as part of the deal and he got me the wheel, the 3 bits of polystyrene foam that go over it and the wheel hold down bolt. These replace the gunge kit and two foam parts that my car came with. It raises the trunk floor by about 2-3" this makes it level with the rear seats when they are folded down.

So you still have storage space under the floor mat like the Gen 3?

Also a video showing the new authorized emergency stopping procedures for the Prius.

The 3rd gen storage tray is gone.

Strangely, Canadian models have spare, and a 2~3" drop from hatch open in sill to hatch floor, unless my eyes deceived me.

No storage space except for an empty 18"x6"x2" hole in the foam, which is for the obligatory folding warning triangle that is required in some countries (not the UK). I still have a 1-2" drop from the hatch opening to the rear trunk floor, but level with the seats at the front edge.

Oh nice! So basically it looks like a trim level or package that has a spare tire (i.e. it looks OEM).

    It's not 2-3". 1" maybe? I've yet to see a Technology w/ Advanced Pkg.

Yes, although the two hold downs at the front edge of the foam don't fit and if you look closely, the trunk floor panel doesn't fit as well, it sits snug against the rear and has a small gap either side on the front edge of the wings that fold down. I may have to get new hold downs and a new floor panel to make it perfect, but I can live with it for now.

Ahh I see. Well at least the dealer offered it to you. I haven't heard of any dealer here so far that are offering any concessions to the lack of the spare tire option.

Finally found a place that stated the requirements for IPA. I think it's more like 50cm *each* front and back (not 50cm total). This is from the Tokyo Motor Show press release.

    upload_2016-6-29_23-53-53.png

    The Gen 4 is 4.54m long. So 5.5-4.54 is 96cm, round to 100cm. That's 50cm front/back if it's evenly split.

The dealer, on the day of delivery told me 90cm - so 40cm more of what he told me at ordering - well, maybe I didn't understand as I am not native German. Stil... 45cm both sides is not much at all. Pretty good I would say...!

No it is not, it would be too helpful :D They need the space for the 300 pages of warnings and disclaimers (why don't they put all those in one separate leaflet or section at the end of the user's manual?... ;)

Nope. It's from a press release. I thought the document was linked (probably in one of those stickies on the main forum).

Under the Hood of the All-new Toyota Prius | TOYOTA Global Newsroom

Scroll right to the bottom of the page. It's the "Press Information" under "Downloads (PDF)"

Yeah, that's 1.5m shorter, or 1/3rd of the car length!

When I had my 6 month checkup at the dealers I begged them to turn off the annoying beep beep beep when in reverse gear. They laughed and said "sure!" My 2017 Prius 4 and I get along better now. She is not as annoying (although other things about her irk me) and I treat her better so I hope she is happier.
