What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

I lined the upper glove box surface with 1/16 inch neoprene foam. It provides a nice non-slip surface and feels good. Tip: If you remove the adhesive backing on just the corners it is much easier to apply. I got the neoprene off Amazon. Could also alcantara if you want to kick it up a notch.

Had some old JDM air freshener containers laying around so I cleaned them out and bought gel scent beads from the Dollar Store. Doesn't smell good as the JDM stuff but it's a cheap and colorful alternative.

Going to be doing it tomorrow along with some other things on John's car. I'll be sure to get some photos tomorrow!

I did finish my tails today though. Still might wetsand them some more after I shoot more clear to make them smoother but I haven't decided yet. Going to do some more polishing tomorrow perhaps to get them shinier but for now, my arms are tired haha

Met up with @andino earlier this afternoon to install front lip.

 

I wish I could have cleaned my car today, but with a rain/snow/tiny hail kind of day I just used my new obd to turn off those annoying beeps.

I have a 2011 so it was direct fitment. According to Jesse who has the same lip on his 2013 pri, there was no trimming or modifications necessary but you'd have to tug it a bit to get it around the bumper. @HelloHybrid has a 2015 and recently purchased it. Not sure if he's had the chance to install yet

Tried to do a test fit earlier and didn't work out too well. there are no pre-drilled holes anywhere on it, so it's up to you to align everything properly and drill some pilot holes. It does come with some self tapping screws. I'll probably buy some 3M tape too just to reinforce it.

One thing I noticed is the splash guard / skid plate under the engine gets in the way of the mounting tabs. I was able to shove the tabs in between the bumper and guard and the tension held the lip up. I tried to wrap the sides of the lip around the bumper and it's tight.... Tight enough I couldn't do it.

I didn't have any help, so I'll try it again when I have another pair of hands. I need to look at JesseMkanes pics again to see how his looks.
