Hello gang! Not read any previous threads in this forum, just wanted to jump in with a positive review. I may have had the Prius for less than 2 weeks, but I love it! Two teeny things i was going to mention, I ve decided not to bother - the driving pleasure and enjoyment of full gadgetry mean I don't even feel like one very small moan about a couple of insignificant things. 60.8 mpg (imperial) on my first tank even (by a hairs breadth) beat the first tank on my bland Hyundai i20 1.1 3 cyl diesel blue drive. And the Prius is beautiful to look at and great to drive, another 2 things the Hyundai didn't have.
You only leave us to speculate what those two things are, and I have a good imagination. Don't be afraid to be critical. We can handle the truth.
Ha ha! Now you've forced me to say, just so you don't imagine they are worse than they are. And neither thing I hate, they are simply very mildly critical observations; 1.) There is an awful lot of beeping in reverse - a constant tone, plus all the proximity sensors. Every time I return to the house, I need to reverse squeeze in to a narrow spot - if I was of a nervous disposition, the cacophony of varying beeps may be a little too much... 2.) The awesome selection of eco info screens are in the centre of the dash, not above the steering wheel in line of sight. However, that would mess up the strikingly symmetrical cabin, a feature immediately attracting us to the car. And I guess I can sideways glance at them well enough. That's it! As I love the look, the comfort, the drive, the power, the gadgets, the economy, the stereo etc...the two points above are nothing more than filler for a couple of posts in a thread here on Prius Chat...
oooh! Nice - 1 beep to signify reverse is engaged, not one every second to ensure you can never forget...?
exactly. not sure if gen 4 allows you to change it in settings. if not a phone app or scan tool will work. many dealers will do it as a goodwill service.
