What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

I have a terrible phone camera when it comes to panoramas. but i tried my best. Here's it uploaded at work (I'm an elementary school art teacher) and again at home (where the other half of my modding money goes towards). too bad we dont have a 3rd Prius modder in Chicago or my triple monitor setup would be complete...

 

Got a chance to install simple mod. Safety for oncoming traffic. You can probably install blue or red LED instead of yellow. But that is pushing a ticket. It is very bright. Blinks when door is open.

No drilling or cutting

 

You can probably do all 4 since they use the same connector. The two front you don't need drilling. If you decide to do the rear. You have to drill the hole. Here is the link. New item from MIT. Take around 20 minutes top to install.

According to the Yokohama website, my S.Drive 215/40R18 Y are 21.6lb each. That puts the G's wheels at exactly 21.6lb each. (That's an interesting coincidence.)

I asked them what their lowest price will be & they said as long as people are willing to pay $49.90 they're not going to lower it/
NOW, nowadays everybody's intelligent, but here comes smartness into the game: I ordered the red ones & cut just a hole out of the original grommets & put the light in/
to be on the safe side (& I can use the same grommets on my wifes subaru), I ordered for $6.- another 20 grommets/
so for now mine cost me $1.84 /

These are obviously cheaper but these are not the whole assemblies right? Just the LEDs and not a straight plug play?

@apt5020 Do you have a quick step by step install guide?

 

1. Take out the door panel (2 screws) and pull out
2. Make NOTE the green and white cable. Make sure you put it back otherwise you won't be opening your door
2. Pop out the black plastic plug from door and feed your light.
3. Connect the wires.
4. Test and install door panel.
NOTE: Make sure you test locking , roll down windows, etc. before you close that door. Could give you a headache if you don't

 

U said u were thinking of different colors before u settled on what u got. Where does it show more colors as option?

 

Finally finished installing Speaker Number Six.


The mounting screw under the windshield took some improvisation when my stubby screwdriver didn't fit:



But I got everything back together perfectly, and it sounds great!


This is the awful stock dash speaker. The door speakers I replaced were no better.

 

Washed the car this morning and went to K1 for a few races... Car is already dirty with pollen and tree stuff.

 

Looks like a laser is pointed at someone.
