Not so good news

D*mn! What a huge disappointment.

Curious if there is an initial call on the cause.

Like a kid waiting for Christmas who finds out Santa was detoured by an unfortunate sleigh accident.

I wonder what happens to those vehicles?
Because if I could get a good deal? I'd buy one.

I'm thinking most of the damage will just buff out. Or not.

So what happens? Do they order you a new one and you have to start all over?

 

My wife has 'first dented' every car we've every owned. So now I feel like taking her to the car and after walking around, handing her a baseball bat . . . 'Ok, get it out of your system.'

The funniest one was the time she 'parked' our new, Camry, and ran into the house for something. She ran out and ran back in,"Bob, someone stole our car!"

I walked out to the driveway and sure enough, the Camry was 'gone' then I looked at the brush patch about 20 yards from the end of the driveway pad. Sure enough, in the brush, was the rear of our new Camry just barely visible. So I got in the car, backed it out and parked it. She had left the car in neutral and no parking brake set . . . and it was my fault. Because I ordered a manual transmission Camry.

She also banged up our new Echo by trying to roll-up the passenger side window in moving traffic.

Then there was the Chevette that she decapitated the radiator by trying to follow an I-beam bumper pickup through a changing light at 'cop corner.' He saw something and stopped instead of running the 'yellow' which raised the bumper; she tried to stop which dipped the front down, and; the I-beam bumper decapitated the radiator and crumpled the hood and bent the front quarter panels. When I got there, she so hated the car that she was giddy with joy. So I walked around it and said,"Oh I don't know, $50 and a hammer and it will run again." . . . Probably the closest joke to a suicide-by-marrage I've ever come.

Then there was this ice storm in Maryland and she played the middle role of an accordion accident . . . then the salt truck came by and seasoned everyone.

Unfortunately for me?
The Pacific Northwest is about as far away from Florida as possible in the continental US.

Depending on the deal possible, I really wouldn't be adverse to getting one of those vehicles.
Just from the pictures it looks like the structure of the trailer did a pretty good job protecting most of them.
They all probably suffered some degree of various levels of damage.

But you'd be getting a discounted...in an accident...but never driven vehicle...that's pretty rare.

The kicker to me would be disclosure of damage and work done, and of course how big a discount.

 

A drunk driver once clipped all the front ends of all the cars in front at a small dealer in town.

If the cars were declared lost, I think it would a salvage title if they did go to auction.

 

Of all the vehicles I can see on the trailer, none of them appear to be even damaged much less totaled.

 

There could be frame damage that isn't visible. Regardless of what the actual damage is, I don't think the cars can be legally be sold as new. So the used car depreciation is going to be considered in what the insurance company decides to do.
