I don't understand why Toyota makes this cover in silver. If you order any of the other covers for the engine bay (inverter and window washing fluid reservoir), they only come in black. After 3 coats of black Plastidip, you will be left with this look. Some people like the "T" blacked out as well. I prefer the chrome and blue background look, so I peeled the dip off these two parts and reinstalled the cover. Clean look and looks stock.
No, the dealer has ordered the black appliqué covers/stickers for me. I will see how that looks first.
Engine cover looks great, but I think you went to far with the plastidip on your front license plate. It does help hide the fact that the front plate holder that comes with the car is a good one inch too wide for a nice thin frame, though.
Still waiting for my plate, so using a blacked-out frame for now. I did order a special black license plate to complement the white and black color scheme.
That will be great! Maybe some yellow caps to your tire valves to pull it all together. If you find a front bracket that matches the width of you plate and frame, let us know. I really don't like that the bracket is too wide for a standard plate.
